I haven't really watched a japanese classic yet. :D I'll start with some of his movies then. Thank you for the help!
I don't know. I might need some funny or lighthearted movies to begin with, because I'm not used to watching old movies yet. The oldest movie I've watched is A Chinese Ghost Story from 1987 and it's really funny, haha!
I watch all kind of genres though, so it doesn't matter that much. :)
Hahaha really? xD
I think it's harder now, but I might be wrong, haha!

Yes, I try to broaden my horizons as much as possible. :) I always try to watch different genres from different countries, even though I often fall back to korean dramas and historical / romantic comedies / family / thriller / crime. xD Now I'm trying to watch longer dramas with over 50+ or 100+ episodes and older movies from 1930-1999. :) What's your favorite genres?

I love Asian movies, but "they just aren't put together like an American movie - so I can't really watch them - feels like a chopped up drama" was spot on. I feel like most movies are like that. It's hard to find good and well-written movies, but when I do I love them to bits haha! :)

I see that you watch a lot of historical dramas, do you have any recommendations?
I've watched: The Princess' Man, Iljimae, Princess Pearl, Startling By Each Step, Tamra The Island, Hong Gil Dong, Gumiho: Tale of the Fox's Child, The Young Warriors and Hong Gil Dong.
Right now I'm watching King's Daughter Soo Baek Hyang.

Hellu!! :D
Yeah, it's great! xD It makes me broaden my horizons more. I never watched a drama with over 50+ episodes before,
then I made a challenge to watch a drama with over 100+ episodes. Now I don't care about the episode count when I choose dramas.
Hahaha I still want to be like Mulan, like seriously. Earlier today I listened to I'll Make a Man Out of You and thought "I have to be strong-minded... like Mulan", hahaha! xD + that I want to learn how to fight a la martial arts style.

I feel the same. Most people started their drama addiction in 2008 or later.. most common is 2011 I think, haha! I feel like most of them miss out on a lot of great drama classics. :)
I think my interest for Asia started in 2003 (with chinese music and movies), I didn't find dramas until 2005 I think. It was so hard to find dramas at the time, haha! xD I watched everything on youtube.
Haha it's fun with challenges when you feel like it :D It started with me watching a drama with over 100+ episodes. I never thought that I would make it, haha! So I made it a challenge, after that I continued making challenges.
I like to broaden my horizons, so I always try to watch a lot of different stuff. Old/new movies and dramas, different genres and from different countries. :)
Nice to meet you too! :D

I haven't watched it, but I remember that it was very popular when it aired. :) Tell me what you thought about it when you've completed it. :D
So many people were disappointed with the ending and I guess I was too, but it's still one of the best. I just love it to pieces. It's the only drama I've bought on DVD so far. I want to buy Smile You and Startling By Each Step too, but I can't find them. :/

Well I started to watch dramas 7-8 years ago, so my list is not that long compared to others. xD I seriously don't get how everyone manage to watch so many dramas. Those people who started to watch dramas 2011-2012 and have watched about 200 of them. It's crazy, haha! :)

That makes me so happy!
I try to watch a lot of different genres, I prefer historical, romantic comedy, thriller/crime, makjang and family though. I like almost everything, haha! I find melodrama hard to watch though, they tend to be more or less boring sometimes. xD I also try to watch more chinese and taiwanese dramas and not only korean and japanese ones. Lately I've been giving longer dramas a go too (50+ or 100+ episodes). It's quite fun! You find a lot of great dramas that way. I often avoid watching hyped dramas (like heirs), but when they're completed I read peoples comments and if it seems good I marathon it.
I don't like when there's too many gifs and pictures either. I like when it's clean and pretty, otherwise you barely see the gifs because there's too many of them haha! xD
I love this drama, I just don't get why people say Jin Hee should stop playing hard to get and just open up to…
Yes, he's very handsome!! :D I think I just don't like his character. :)

Gahh I just started Emergency Couple and it's so good!
But I don't understand why everyone like Chang Min so much. I mean, I like him, but that's because he's starting to change. But most of the time he acts like a child (not in a cute way), while the Chief is way more manly and understanding (plus that he's cute).
I mean Chang Min was just as perfect and understanding before they got married, but after that he became selfish, immature and rude. Even though she was sick and depressed, he kept destroying her self-confidence by telling her how lazy and useless she was (just like his mother did).
He's not one of those dark and misunderstood characters, he's just a brat. xD If you know what I mean. I often like the cold and rude male characters, but he's not one of them.
