finally finished this asadora. soukichi and kaoru are definitely among my all-time favorite couples. their love was soooo beautifu that i cried several times. however, it was a bit frustrating to see kaoru constantly putting her own happiness aside for her family. even when she chose to be with soukichi or umeki, it was always due to external influences, so I’m not sure how I feel about that aspect. I understand the setting is in the 1920s, but I’m just so used to asadora women being go-getters. regardless, this asadora was very well written! i wish we had gotten a little more closure with the ending.

storytelling wise it's very similar to beyond evil. the release schedule on mdl is correct.
