I hear you getting frustrated with the FL but not me this is my daily addiction, never ever I have watched a daily…
Yes!! This is my first daily drama and I havent missed a single episode, im surprised how it manages to be suspenseful and also keeps a perfect balance of makjang and character interactions/development
It’s not a taboo concept. It’s illegal and purely wrong. Why romanticise a teacher-student relationship? Are…
Bottom line is we are all free to watch whatever we like, and student-teacher tropes won't go away because a few people think it's illegal. I've already explained why there's nothing illegal going on in the show, and I am sure if it was the show wouldn't even be airing, considering how strict Korea is about that stuff. My opinion about the matter is that the teacher is not naive because she is not being taken advantage of or doing anything illegal with the student other than paying attention to the student and officially taking him to math exhibits to help prepare him for his competition. Nothing to get butthurt about that. And romantic music playing is nothing new in dramas, especially since the student clearly likes the teacher in this case. You should learn to separate reality from fiction and if you dont like the subject matter you simply dont have to watch it, but someone who watches it doesnt mean they have no moral ground because theres no action taking place here that says they are in a relationship or doing illegal things

1. According to Wikipedia and the Webster dictionary, a taboo is defined as "an implicit prohibition on something based on a cultural sense that it is excessively repulsive or, perhaps, too sacred for ordinary people." so yes, anything that's not socially or culturally appropriate falls under the category, including student x teacher relationships. 2. Student x teacher relationships have existed for a long time and will continue to do so because art imitates life. It happens in real life and many times these relationships have included sexual scandals (which I totally agree is illegal and should be wrong), however, that's exactly what the story is different from. The sexual scandal in the story is "fake" because people wanted to use the pure connection between the student and his teacher the wrong way in order to fulfill their own corrupt purposes. 3. Male teacher x student dramas were well received in kdramas before lol, have you heard of Doctors? It was very well-received, despite the fact that it was WORSE since the male teacher clearly liked the student DURING high school years, but it was still positively reviewed. 4. I understand why some people would be uncomfortable with this topic because I agree with you that having a relationship or romance with an underage minor who is a student is plainly wrong, BUT that's not even the case in this story. The teacher clearly does not have romantic feelings for the student and they are not in any relationship. As for the romantic subtext, it's because the student has a crush on the teacher because he finally feels understood by someone. I'm sure there are quite a lot of students who have feelings for their teachers. But the teacher has literally done NOTHING to take advantage of the student or even involved herself physically with him. Showing someone special attention because they are going to an international math competition is pretty common in eastern cultures. the privileged students in the school get special attention and tutoring from their teachers, and the whole situation is already rigged so I don't see any problem with the way the teacher is encouraging her student to love math again.
Do you know what the situation in this drama reminds me of? There is this famous saying in Arabic culture that…
PREACH THIS. I find it ridiculous that people are saying the teacher shouldn't be "unprofessional" and give extra attention to Seung Woo, but literally all the privileged students always get extra care and attention from the school. Seung Woo deserves every bit of the special treatment by his teacher BECAUSE he has talent and deserves to be guided because he can make a big difference in the field of mathematics. What i dont understand is how that is unprofessional when the school is basically a specialized institution anyways...
i was wondering about the synopsis..it says sexual scandal. Will the student and teacher really have a sexual…
The relationship between the teacher and the student is purely platonic at this point. The ml has a crush on the fl, but that's pretty much it. And the "sexual scandal" is fake thats used to defame and get rid of the teacher because she finds out about the corruption in the high school
Literally my thoughts exactly hahaha people be getting surprised when its legit advertised as a student teacher…
Yes, and this situation is very different from a typical rom com. Our ml is literally a misunderstood math genius and from what ive seen in kdramas our fl is a math geek is which is pretty unique as well. Ofc its not supposed to fulfill everyone's expectations on how they 'should' be interacting
Its kinda funny to read all the butthurt comments about student x teacher relationship when literally the tags say it is a student x teacher drama. Don't like it? Don't watch. If the concept itself is too taboo or uncomfortable then people should just skip it? I, for one, am really enjoying this. The two characters certainly share a deep passion for math and are attracted to each other's perspectives on life. There's romantic subtext because they will have a romance in the future. But thats not even the point. The intellectual and intuitive connection between these two is what makes this drama very enjoyable for me
actually eunji in her last live said that the kiss wasn't meant to be a "i love you" but a "how about this" and…
i'm assuming that they're pretty homophobic in korea so they might only give us crumbs. but i still think it's sus that ji gu makes origami now, and that girl made her origami when she was a teacher. also she gives too much gay vibes, and never dates guys and hasn't even held a guy's hand before, so thats even more sus im going to just keep believing that ji gu is gay af and haters can take a seat elsewhere.
waitttt sobong sonhwa is joo haeran's daughter &yoon jaegyung is bok soon's daughter &jaemin is adopted meaning…
yes! serves the chairman right for what he did to man sik and joo hae ran. also it would be interesting to see how jaegyung finds out her mom is bok soon since she is practically seon hwa's mom
Everyone here talking about Lee Young Ae comeback, but I'm super excited for Kim Hye Joon, she was so good in Kingdom, and I can totally see her playing a charismatic villain in this!!!
