ok my watch plans were suddenly disrupted by having to be out all day BUT i'm finally home and just finished watching it... had to rewatch ep 9 to be sure and no she's not wrong per se, i think both chu zhao and deng yi think that liang qiang is his guy (deng yi advocated for him as chu ling's successor in court while xie san blocked his motion) but xie yanfang seems to be the True Mastermind behind it all (i feel like they hinted that liang qiang's family status was restored by him and not deng yi)
i wish the drama's marketing team stopped selling CP only and actually remembered the abundance of chu culture portrayal that the production crew put thought into... we only got one (1) measly video on douyin about some set pieces after all this time 😔
