it's so slick and we'll edited, and everyone looked like they really were hurting people. Even Qingyan's fight…
yesss the fact that the hits have power + weight behind them and actually connect is what really sells it for me!! sometimes i see fight scenes where there are too many cuts to hide the fact that there isn't a flow/impact and it immediately takes me out of it
So my question is: Are ML and FL in good terms? Or there is another lead closer to FL? I like CDrama where ML…
similar to the leads in the double, the ML and FL in this drama get close to each other as they're working towards the same goal, although i'd say their relationship isn't very straightforwardly 'good' because of the setup (you'll understand when you start the first ep) — but they definitely only have eyes for each other! ^__^
also shoutout to the plastic uterus model for being the funniest visual motif i've ever seen in a movie
not sure how much to spoil, but it's got to do with the plot point of jaehee's unplanned pregnancy! i wouldn't say it's any sort of deep symbolism; i think it's just a fun statement for her to run out with it in her grip because she deserves to make a choice re: her bodily autonomy without being judged for it

it appears quite a few times in the movie after jaehee steals it from the obgyn's office, and at the end apparently heungsoo still keeps it around haha
ML's reaction isn't that surprising and her trust in the 2ml isn't either. Technically, she's known the 2ml and…
i'm so glad you wrote out exactly what i was thinking hah i was surprised at some of the comments. it makes perfect sense that ML would be upset at innocent lives being involved considering the fact that she's already traumatised by the 100,000 qingzhou deaths @_@
Can we praise the editing team of this drama. I find the editing top notch
i really like the flashback transitions (usually CP's scenes iirc) where the camera pans from the character to a scene played by the younger actors without any cuts when the memory plays out in the same location... it's such a nice change from the usual flashbacks that just replay clips + slap a b&w/sepia filter on top
I've seen some toxic unrequited love in other dramas but this one takes the cake. We have MULTIPLE people not…
true true, i'm reminded of another person's comment on here about how the siblings are pretty naïve. they'll have to learn the hard way just how messy court politics can get. i'll applaud the writers if they properly flesh out the siblings' character development, but we'll have to wait and see what happens...

(please use a spoiler tag!) those are all very reasonable points and i agree, but then again we need some unreasonable characters to stir up ALL the drama 😂
the CP's obsession is the most convincing for me rn because his entire personality is based on his complex about being the eldest son + being borne from a concubine + having to be more Responsible compared to the other princes (which makes me laugh because does he think being emperor will make his life easier?)
so far LM's been acting as a dedicated general who puts great yan above everything else, so i really hope at some point she'll learn to let go of her unrequited love... but the fact that she wants to send out that marriage decree makes me nervous. what a waste of her character if she ends up aligning with the CP just because she can't get MJH for herself
i don't have strong feelings about YQ and his sister for now hahaha i think they come from a good place even if they're misguided (also tbh i'm enjoying the writing for the SML — for once it's a love triangle situation that's exciting to watch! hopefully the writers don't make me eat my words later on LOL)
