based on that flashback of the first time XH spotted XFF out in public, i think she often went out with a veil? and she was probably new to the capital (only moved there after marrying SYR) so i believe the people there knew her by name but not by face 🤔

it's a very quick ending after that ha... he kills the dai country's general → war is won → he comes home. we get a final shot of XFF waiting by the blossoming wintersweet + XH on horseback on his way to finally reunite with her

there's an ep 40.5 (the double special) where they show us a brief glimpse into their married life ^^ on the 8th year they have a daughter!
