i watched it quite a while back and loved her insights into XFF's character :> she's so thoughtful and articulate

this interview is SO good and informative. i love that we got to hear LYQ's pov of SYR's character and intentions

i avoid her modern dramas for the same reason 🙈 i love her acting for historical/costume drama scripts much better haha. definitely check out story of yanxi palace if you enjoyed the double!!!

you'll see his intentions fleshed out more as the drama progresses! but to summarise without spoiling too much: he's got an obsession (that stemmed from childhood) about wanting more power so he can punish corrupt officials. it sort of becomes a self-righteous campaign given that he's willing to corrupt himself in order to do so...

not everyone found the ending happy enough (which is understandable, considering how a lot of emotional plot points were crammed to the latter half of the episode. especially with LJ + WJ's deaths...)

people who want to see them kiss so bad should just watch the bts for the wedding scene 😆 it's even sweeter than the final cut we got in the drama
