yeah i don't get it either bc so far it's established that SYR /wants/ the rebellion to succeed bc if he can marry wanning then that might raise his social standing, right? if wanning loses the baby won't that cause her to punish the li family? won't that mess with king cheng's plans? i don't want to give SYR any credit and say he's purposely doing it to sabotage the rebellion 😑 but why do i have a bad feeling...
