On Wrong Carriage, Right Groom Oct 11, 2025
After a fun start, I stopped watching this drama, and here's why.

I've made a vow to not watch, or stop watching, any film or drama that contains real or perceived animal abuse or cruelty. In this drama, Wrong Carriage, Right Groom, in ep 5 (21 min 40 sec), a horse in full gallop is tripwired and falls right on its head. I don't know if the horrid cracking sound heard is authentic or added, but it made me feel sick. I watched the exact moment over and over again, and I think I saw the actual tripwire break when the front legs hit it. The fall looks really nasty. Even if the horse was "fine" after, doing such things in these days isn't appropriate. They even show the horse falling from several angles.
I thought this was a romantic comedy, not a realistic battle scene drama with animals being hurt. From what I just learnt, tripwires and having horses fall in high speed is forbidden Hollywood productions since 80 + years ago.
I really, really hope I'm wrong about his particular drama, but who can prove it? Even so, I never ever want to watch another horse fall, be it an authentic situation or fake. No one loves Chinese dramas more than me, so this makes me extremely upset.

This drama is so fun! And cool. I loved the comedy and found myself laughing out loud every episode. Well, except for the last two that got really serious. I was quite upset the drama didn't finish, and I've been contemplating the possible plot of the sequel. Let's hope we get a resolution asap <3

Feeling sorry for the boys who in episode 3 seem to be picking mostly "bog bilberries" instead of bilberries ("European blueberries"). Those taste almost nothing and aren't really valued. Also, the production (or whoever cut the series) showed pics of American blueberries who only grow cultivated in gardens instead of actual bilberries. The should've done the research, especially as not all berries are edible but can be poisonous 😝

Watching episode 2. I would've been so mad if I had travelled across the globe and only got potatoes and a few carrots for dinner πŸ˜‚The boys handled that so well considering they're probably used to abundant meals. Though I can't get over them using spring water for cleaning things when the lake with clean water is a few meters away.

Halfway through the first episode, and I really can't get over the thought of stumbling across those guys in random parking lot γ…‹γ…‹γ…‹γ…‹γ…‹γ…‹! Would I hide, approach them, or just faint? Makes me think I should be better dressed when going to the supermarket from now on :D

"Extraordinary Watcher You - Drama watching is a personal experience, who cares about the popular opinions?" - Yeah, I like to enjoy what I enjoy, and I don't want to be affected by opinions or spoilers before I've finished the drama.

I got Thriller, which probably explains why I seek emotional refuge in the beautiful world of xianxia πŸ˜‚

Whaaat? Why didn't I know this was going on here in Finland?! Luckily I'll be able to watch this even though I'm on a self-imposed drama ban at the moment. Makes me think maybe I should've become a tourist guide in Lapland after all :D
