actually, no one seemed to expect this kind of result, not even the director Yang Long. Tencent dropped the show so suddenly without any proper promotion, neither of the main leads is a high-traffic star and there’s no big IP behind it! Still, the drama performed beyond anyone’s expectations, dominating almost every ranking chart during its premiere. Moreover, the drama has become a breakthrough role for Chen Duling who has been working in the industry for almost 10 years, with her acting skills being praised. The same can be said for Xin Yunlai, as both are gaining a strong number of followers on their Weibo accounts after the show’s release. The Glory is a perfect example that if a show is well-written and well-acted, the audience will come and watch. Congrats to the entire drama team 🎉👏

Congratulations to the glory team. They totally deserve it. 💖💖💖💖
wow, Wen Zhengrong who played the heroine’s mom Ruan Xiwen totally stood out as the best actor in this series for me. I’ve seen her play villain roles in so many dramas but here? She killed it. She's so cool, and fierce as a broken mother. i’m completely in love with her performance here.
I confused with this too. I also think this is a remake with a slight difference coz I read the synopsis between…
Zhuge Yue and Yuwen Yue are the same person or is the male protagonist (the original name of the main male protagonist has always been Zhuge Yue, but for some reason, it was changed to Yuwen Yue in PA). Judging from the new teaser released, Rebirth looks more like a sequel than a remake or prequel because it clearly follows the story after the Ice Lake incident which was a cliffhanger in PA. But since people are saying it's a remake or prequel, i'm a bit confused.
I'm so confused, some r saying its a remake while others are saying it's a prequel/ sequel. what is it exactly? can someone verify this? any info or link?
Can someone please explain to me why Netflix has 28 episodes but here on MDL they say they are 32?
not sure; the total number of episodes is 32. Maybe if Netflix increased the length of each episode by merging four episodes into it, it might have fewer episodes. On its original platform Youku, each episode is about 45 minutes long.
i have never been this thoroughly impressed or satisfied with any modern idol romance C-drama before, but this one completely exceeded my expectations in every possible way. I am beyond happy that I watched this masterpiece. From start to finish, it was just AMAZING, and the final episodes were even more beautiful and extraordinary which made me more emotional and happier for my Ayan and Yifan. highly recommended. It's 10/10 for me (I rarely give full scores but this one truly deserves it).
i respect your opinion but i disagree. I'm chasing all the popular dramas like The First Frost, The Best Thing…
Yes. when i started watching this drama the first thing i noticed was the "rashomon effect" on how both the ML and FL had different interpretations of the same event from their school days. though I wasn’t aware of its references to a 1934 Chinese film, thank u for mentioning it here.
I've been waiting for Landy's drama for a long time, unfortunately this is a story for teenagers, I feel too old…
i respect your opinion but i disagree. I'm chasing all the popular dramas like The First Frost, The Best Thing airing at the moment and I find this one to be the most relatable as it talks about social acceptance, beauty standards, and the way how we use filters in our real life to edit our pictures on social media to hide our outer appearance insecurities. The only difference is it does it in a very humorous way that keeps us cracking up in every scene. Being myself as an adult, I'm fully enjoying this show. so, I don't think this drama is only for teenagers.
Is it good so far? I want to start it but I'm unsure.
well it really depends on your taste. personally it’s been great so far and it got more interesting after episode 1. It’s a rom-com with a supernatural twist that dives into how much outer appearance matters, how society views and treats it, and the idea of inner beauty.
i want to punch Tang Qi so hard that his nose bleeds. 😤 Such a JERK!
just finished watching the first four episodes and it's really interesting. The comedy parts never fail to crack me up. I wish they had released six episodes instead.
