Went in with low expectations; still disappointed
Listen, I wasn’t expecting a masterpiece; it is a light rom com after all, so I was expecting some things to be over the top and I was liking the show overall, however I felt more and more bored as it continued.
Dislikes:
- The kidnapping subplot was SO random and did nothing for the story. Legit added nothing and didn’t change either of the characters. It was silly and felt cheap.
- I hated that Naoya was waiting all day for Kota to show up in the beginning of the show. That’s just going too far. Naoya stayed liking Kota 10000x more than Kota likes him. Kota is just way too immature.
- Kota makes a show of “please let me stay at your place” at the end, when at this point it has been WELL ESTABLISHED that Naoya wants him to stay at his place. I could no longer handle the obliviousness from him, and the lack of romance in general. The kiss in the first episodes dupes you into thinking they’ll have more skinship.
