the ending basically means that every country every place in the world had a version of the borderlands. the earthquake was the borderland collapsing as seen before Arisu and Usagi escaped with the rest of the group. there wont be another movie for the joker card, the concept is that you can’t decide your fate and that you can live to die or die to live. the whole series was a metaphor for appreciating your life.
