Gave it a whole extra star for Sung Joon's Goongtan who stole the show with his mega-charisma and powerful portrayal and basically carried me through the entirety of the drama single-handedly. The rest of the lead cast are somewhat underused, especially the Kim Namgil who barely does anything other than brooding and fighting. Lee Dahee is adorable, Cha Eunwoo is an eye feast. But the weak characterizations and the countless plot holes really take the edge off what would otherwise be an impactful fantasy story.
