Awww LiYan is no doubt a certified puppy, whenever FuWei reached out her hand to touch his face, he always bend down first to welcome her touch <3 he really reminded me of a little white poodle

To obtain power for revenge
Are u asking about the future/past RuoXi or FuWei? Future RuoXi married crown prince to obtain power to avenge her mother’s death, same intention with past RuoXi. But FuWei agreed to the marriage to obtain the emperor’s token to runaway with past RuoXi, who then ‘killed’ FuWei instead and marry crown prince on her behalf.
I believe future LiYan knew why future RuoXi married crown prince, but he obviously not supportive of the idea, hence their fallout. Past LiYan dont know why FuWei accept the marriage edict and almost genuinely thought she abandoned him, but they fixed that misunderstanding when FuWei told him about her being from the future.

Me too! Unfortunately his past works mostly as support or guest roles so hopefully he’ll get another ML or SML roles soon!

oh don't I wish! this is a better take on all the rebirth second chances even though the "twin" presence…
Yeah I do like the pace is moving quite fast n the decision to brought ML into the secret this early (instead of last 2 eps) should help FL to execute better plan in the future.
Everyone said the actress has good dramad this year so I’m keen to check that out as well

Everyone praises the ML looks and I agree that he looked so dreamy, kinda reminded me of Bi Wenjun’s puppy look (and eyes). I do hope he got more recognition after this and able to star in full length drama, even if he just ended up giving us second lead male syndrome at first lol

I would say this is more like a soul time-traveling rather than rebirth, coz in this new past, she is still her own entity and not being reborn into someone else or even her own self. Thats why I thought the title really justify the plot.
Either way, this is really a great drama so far n hope they keep it good till the end!

I wished they’d turn this into a longer drama so we get more of the original past story to better understand how the FL changed over time (and how did LiYan fell over heel for her past self). I see lots of comments about how FuWei is naive to think RuoXi will be better (or could be better), but lets not forget that she IS her. FW might’ve believed that if only her mother didnt die, if only she didnt marry Crown Prince, if only she didnt become Empress, and other ‘if onlys’, she would become a better person n live happier. Thus she only focused on preventing those things to happen, not realizing the issue isnt just on the events, but also herself. She might’ve become a better person after regretting things, but her past self have not yet experience that, so RX still focus on getting her revenge. I really like the plot twist where FW was deemed as ‘dead person’, which I think what the title meant: she is an echo of herself thrown into the past. I think if somehow the timeline moved to 3 years later, then at the exact time where future RX died, the past RX (and then present RX) died instead, maybe their soul can merged and FuWei will no longer be just an echo. Just hoped LiYan stay alive till then lol

Did LiShuang’s father never met AoDeng despite both being Generals in the border and been at war for a while? I thought LiShuang probably never met AoDeng coz she probably came later but her dad should’ve known what their enemy looked like, especially when the puppet show indicated that they’ve clashed swords at some point.. unless AoDeng went to war with his mask on all the time

same question. it felt like CL's own voice as DAD
Yeah its weird they decided to dub just JinAn, coz if u’ve seen ChengLei in variety shows, I think he’s able to pull that softer and childish tone just okay lol I actually kinda wish they’d dub LiShuang instead coz although her acting is fine, her high pitched voice is a bit jarring when she’s trying to be authoritative (especially when she’s screaming JinAn’s name)

Did ChengLei used his real voice when he’s AoDeng? I wonder why they dubbed JinAn then 🤔 do they think his voice is too serious for puppy JinAn lol

After taking a peek of the last chapters of the novel, here’s my theory of the upcoming (and extended) Prince Annan arc.
The fact that JinAn woke up first than Li Shuang (after the dungeon battle) meant he had time to process what was happening after the Jade entered his body. His memory might be slipping but he still knows enough to understand who he was and what he had become and where he is at that moment. But AoDeng was strategic n calculative by nature and I’m guessing the more JinAn’s memory going out, more of his old personality is coming back. So he probably put himself in waiting mode to observe.
His feelings for Li Shuang is real and that is probably what turns him into semi-psychotic when he’s back in full Prince Annan mode. It could be that when Li Shuang finally learns his true identity later, she tried to push him away due to her loyalty and AoDeng cant accept that. He probably thought why can she love JinAn with questionable background but not AoDeng? Even through his first 10min of appearance, it was pretty clear that Prince Annan was pretty arrogant, not in tsundere way, but the real ‘I’m better, smarter, and above everyone else in the room’ kind of arrogance. It could also be a result of his upbringing n his defend mechanism as a royal, and JinAn’s personality was probably what his true nature would be should he lived a different life.
The novel ended up with Li Shuang’s fake death and Ao Deng being deposed, so I’m guessing that after they resolve their personal issues, they’ll join forces to fix their countries issues and then make themselves disappear, just like the end of the drama’s synopsis.
Anyway, I’m glad that the drama decided to do extra on Prince Annan because he’s such a great character to explore. And ChengLei really brought his A game acting on this drama so I hoped it’ll get more recognition towards the end.

I cant help but need to comment, after all the endless shirtless scenes JinAn had for questionable reasons (not that I complained), the one time that its ‘reasonable’ for him to be shirtless but he ended up waking fully clothed (IYKYK) 🙈

And also regarding the comments about the lack of chemistry. They're not supposed to be in the passionate, attraction…
I’ve only watched 3 eps so far (on my 4th now) and right from the start I can see that their relationship was a typical childhood sweetheart where it already passed ‘oh I think I love you’ phase and more like an old couple that is just so used to each other’s presence without the need for grand gesture or overly blushing moments. Not every chemistry need to be shown physically imho.

Must be because placing the cloth would need the coroner's to remove it to examine those areas, but the curtains…
Ooo thats interesting take on this. I also thought that the curtains probably meant to block the onlookers view as well when they’re examining sensitive parts lol
Replying to Masterxys Jul 23, 2025
so they would not expose whole naked ass person on camera.
I thought so too, but thats exactly why I thought a simple cloth cover would be more effective (like in the usual modern crime dramas). If a wind blows in, those curtains will be useless lol
On Coroner's Diary Jul 23, 2025
I wonder why they use mini curtains to cover parts of the body during autopsy instead of just using piece of cloth? Should be more cost effective too (without a need for poles) and can cover better
