Left me speechless
Listen, this review will be heavily influenced by the ending. Major spoiler for ending at the end. When i first watched this, i didn't have high expectations for the plot to be mind blowing or special cause of the title alone. It gives slice of life, simple and chill type of plot and so it was. I tuned in for Hyewon ofc.
I loved the warm aesthetics, pretty cinematography and the good chemistry between Taiga and Rin (they made me giggle of cuteness idc what anyone says). It was somewhat a healing show to me. The plot was light, predictable and easy to watch for me. Although, I lowkey didn't like that they jumped straight into a relationship because the potential to make it a cute fluff or a slow burn was there. I wish 'them starting to date', had more story/depth, but it was fine ig. Midway, the two characters started to become abit annoying but was still tolerable to me. Cultural differences, personality clashes which I wish they had more time to explore or resolve deeper.
It was not horrible but I stuck through cause i loved Rin and Taiga so much, idk a softer pair than these two. I personally adore Taiga's softness for Rin and how Rin gives Taiga confidence and brightness in his quite unsure, uncertain persona. Other good points of the drama that I loved, was how they changed each other from being stuck in a rut or being depressed about life, it was cute to see them motivate each other and slowly become more confident in their own dreams.
But then, the final episode came. It was the worst ending i've ever experienced. I've watched a gazillion of shows btw. I hated it not because of the sad ending. At least not entirely. But it was soooo abrupt i was taken aback. After all the happy ending baiting, of course i'd expect a happy ending. But they just hit me with a 40 second scene (which is extremely vague) that they broke up and that's the end??? Not a single explanation whatsoever. I'm upset and angry at the writer for ruining this show for me LOL. It left such a bitter feeling in me. I feel like some explanation of what happened would've made me less bitter but nah here's 'they broke up at last and a black screen'. It felt so anti climatic sigh. It feels like i wasted my time i don't know how to process the ending i wanna cry.

Hilarious from beginning till the end
A show that's not meant to be taken seriously. There will be some sensitive aspects that kind of made me go ?? it's lowkey offensive lmao but it's nothing too bad. Aside from that, the whole plot is just pure slapstick comedy and the actors' comedic timing amplified it. It's almost like the whole cast are comedians. A recommended watch if you're depressed and need a good laugh. I really enjoyed the enemy to lover between the leads, though i'll have to say i do kind of prefer their fighting dynamic more because the things that the FL did to the ML just have me in tears. Second couple had a completely different dynamic but was equally as enjoyable as the main couple. Plot is also easy to digest and was a breeze to finish. Overall a very fun show to bingeWas this review helpful to you?

Good but could be better if we had-
I lovee the leads they have good chemistry on and off screen. Second couple was also very cute. Now, for the plot sometimes it feels slow but the leads chemistry and acting carried the show. Loved the childhood friendship trope, it was done very well and also the family core in this show was very touching. It had everything that I loved, the yearning, the comedy, the angst and the drama. But what kind of upset me was the constant absurdly done plot twist just to add drama to the show, which felt unnecessary. Because both the leads were already going through stuffs but the writer wanted to 'makjang' it so i felt annoyed lmao. And the ending really made me upset. I know a number of people are too lol cause we had a really dedicated community for this show. Because we were so sure that Seunghyo and Seokryu was gonna get married after the multiple attempts at proposal only for them to postpone it?? and have Seunghyo's parents re-wed(?) instead, it was so baffling I'm avoiding Shin Haeun's drama forever. I was waiting for the wedding for so long, It could've been the perfect ending for the childhood lovers but they decided to add another final plot twist which adds absolutely NOTHING to the show. Ending really left me with a bitter taste

A beautiful and healing drama
I came in watching this with no expectations cause slice of life dramas are usually not my fav genre but i'm glad i did. It is such a beautiful, healing and heartwarming drama. I was feeling a little down when I started this, so I resonated with Yeoreum so much that it kind of healed me as I watched the drama. I love it so much and especially Yeoreum is such a well written character. She is the most sweetest, kind hearted girl ever. I loved the bond that she had with Bom, it's prob one of my fav aspects of the show along with the sweet sweet grandma. Light plot but not boring at all and filled with wise wisdoms. As for the romance, they make me giggle from cuteness. The chemistry is probably among the best i've watched and very effortless despite how subtle Yeoreum and Daebeom's interaction is. I feel like Seolhyun is incredibly good at potraying that giddy and shy girl with Daebeom that it made me root for them even more. Although, i do wished they had more romance during the show. But at the same time, i also kind of get that the writer didn't want to make it the highlight or main subject of this drama. A little kiss would've made me the happiest Yeoreum and Daebeom shipper lol.
Acting wise, i couldn't find any flaws. Both the main leads delivered very well. Seolhyun surprised me with her acting, it is so natural so it was so easy to get immersed with her character. I loved her drunk scenes so much lmao. The rest of the cast also did well.
The only complaint that i would say about this drama is the murder plot. I feel like killing the grandma was a bad move from the writer and also that the murder mystery plot was unnecessary and draggy. I feel like the healing plot was already enough to carry the drama. The grandma is such an important character in my opinion, so when they killed her i got really turned off. It kind of defeated the whole purpose of this being a healing drama. Hence, why i deducted my points for the drama. Murder plot was very annoying to watch and i also disliked the annoying library noona, she was so controlling it irked me to death.
Overall a very fun and good watch

Thriller Masterpiece
This drama is mind blowing from beginning till the end. I couldn't predict what was happening at all and the fact that they continued to make us doubt the daughter in the father's pov was brilliant (although i kinda went soft for her near ep9-10 lol). It's probably a bit difficult to follow though if you miss any details or fact so i would say that's the flaw along with some tiny plot hole. I had to continuously recall scenes because they were somewhat connected. It's almost like i was trying to be a detective to at some point hahaha. The story is very complex, there were times when i hated the father and even blamed Habin, that's how you know they made it well. I was so immersed lol. Female detective was high key annoying there were times i wished she wasn't in the show but she was kind of needed. Soft male detective also irked me at times because of how his softness was sometimes ruining his judgement and decision making. All the characters were necessary. Heavy scenes were directed very well, I really sympathized with Taesu and his acting is so subtle yet so loud i enjoyed it.
The reason why I gave this a 9 rating has to do heavily with the last episode. I loved it so much. Especially that line when her father asked Habin if she really killed her younger brother. I had to give the writer a standing ovation for that scene alone. Taesu did exactly the oppposite of what Habin's mother did. He asked her instead of continuing his suspicion and it was healing to see Habin breakdown. To see her being accepted and her, knowing that she was accepted was such a relief for me. I am glad that they gave this drama a happy ending because otherwise it would kind of become a cliche. It's refreshing to see a psychotic daughter actually not be the evil person in the end.
Acting wise, all the cast delivered. But i'd have to give it to Taesu and Chae Wonbin for their excellent performance. I'm very surprised at how good Chae Wonbin is despite being a very new rookie. She nailed the role so well. Really looking forward to her future works.

broke my heart
i did not expect the plot twist. i did knew it was a sad movie, but not THIS sad. was practically drowning with tears by the end of the show so be warned. i don't think i'll ever move on from how heartbreaking it is. both the ml and fl is so dear to me i love how soft they are together. three gerberas. I can't remember much of the story because my brain has blocked it because of the sadness lol.. What i do remember, It is a hauntingly beautiful and devastating love story. I wish they had more moments together...Was this review helpful to you?
Very fun to binge
I enjoyed the show thoroughly the romcom was so well done and watching the show felt like a breeze and very entertaining. I absolutely adore the fire chemistry between FL and ML, they're perfect together literally a chemistry that will never leave my mind. I ended up having a crush on both of them by the end of the show LMAO. Kim Okvin is such a girl crush! The comedy part was so enjoyable too, i had so much fun. The reason for my 8.5 is because it got a bit slow near the end, because they gave the airtime to the 2nd couple which i was honestly not too interested in. Overall a recommended romcom for meWas this review helpful to you?
Dissapointed
I was looking forward to the show actually. I thought that the ai boyfriend concept would be fun and fresh for kdrama after some while but it did not live up to my expectation. The concept was very interesting but execution is done so poorly i had to drop it. The plot is really boring and felt so draggy to the point that i just find myself skipping a lot through the episodes. Cringy and unexciting.Everything about this show felt underwhelming despite the big budget and promos and they tried to make up for it with Jisoo's big popularity and the flashy hot oppa cameos. It just felt like an SNL skit at some point lmao
For the acting, I feel like Jisoo's acting skills is still not solid enough to be a FL. Her diction and weak portrayal was very obvious. There's definitely some improvement from her previous drama. Something about her acting feels flat AF i find myself getting bored. She's NOT extremely bad and is completely unwatchable but when she has to do funny scenes, she tends to over-exaggerate and it feels unnatural. The rest of the cast also has this 'extra' acting which was so unbearable for me (fl's bestie, office mates). I get that this genre is not supposed to be serious and light hearted but the the comedy acting didn't deliver. I feel like for cringey plots/concepts you really need good solid actors to make it less cringey and enjoyable. It made me realize how romcom type casted actresses are heaven sent

Had potential but the writer went mad and ruined it
At first the drama was really good but then it went bad when they started to make the 2nd ml annoying when he already had a pursuer. Why can't he move on and get with the pretty rich lady? The amount of screentime he had was already pissing me off because he was being so bitter and miserable over something that was his mistake. Not chasing after his first love when he had the chance. Early episodes were fantastic, i love the leads and they have fire chemistry but the complaints from people made me stop watching lol. I've been disappointed too many times, to waste my time. Probably not continuingWas this review helpful to you?

Feels like an old kdrama formula (in a good way) and very fun and light to watch
I honestly don't get the hate that people are spewing about this drama. It is very fun and easy to watch, not to mention very very heartwarming. Exactly delivered the genre itself of being a healing romcom. It reminds me of back when i used to watch kdramas in my high school years. Nothing too overly complicated, abit of a predictable plot but still very engaging and fun. I had a great time watching it on-going. Except for Ep 1 and Ep 2 which was abit of a struggle for me to watch, the rest of the episodes were very fun. Although, I won't lie the comedy and plot slowed down abit near Ep8. It was still fun to watch just for the lead's chemistry and story. I loved their humor code and the comedy, with the main couple but also the villagers side. The main thing that made me really love this drama is probably the FL. I have so much praises for her. She is so charming as a character and also as an actress. I loved every bit of her acting, from the comedy to the sad bits she delivered them all so good. She has a new fan. I loved the sleep walking part of the plot compared to alot of people who found it corny and hated it. It's abit sad and dramatic lol but it's just my type of thing. But a part that slightly bothered me is I wish they made it more realistic. The part of her recognizing Matthew and talking to him almost too 'consciously' kind of threw me off sometimes lol.
ML is funny in a nonchalant way. He is also a huge tsundere. Sometimes i did wondered if his slight 'stiffness' is because of the role itself or his acting. But it's not too bothersome because his comedy acting is actually really good and he delivers most of his scenes quite decent and very well. He is good with romantic scenes. Both him and fl were very natural in carrying that romantic, in-a- relationship vibe.
Though in the earlier episodes, I feel like his personality may have made people not buy the chemistry between the leads. It made their whole relationship feel off. But after Ep 6 (kiss scene) i can honestly say their chemistry grew ALOT on me. The part of him caring about her behind the scenes sold me. I love how he cares for her by paying attention to the slightest and the smallest things for her. ML is so specific which I LOVE SM, his love language! Their relationship grew naturally which i really enjoyed and I find myself loving their chemistry onwards. I also absolutely love how very supportive they both are to each other. It was nice how at the end of the show, Dam Yejin even healed her insomnia because of the Matthew's influence. They were both healing each other from their own scars. Loved how their scars are both entangled to each other somehow?
-SPOILER ALERT-
About the plot and character behaviors, i do have some complaints which is the cause of my lower rating. There were a few plot holes or flaws which DID bothered me. I can actually ignore some just because of this brains off sort of thing that does come with this genre but these are ones that really bothered me lol
1. How did Matthew knew Dam Yejin's address when he first saved her?? (first sleepwalking)
2. Why was Jinyi more hateful to Dam Yejin than Matthew (creator of product)
3. Kim Beom's character is too fake smiley 24/7 it lowkey annoyed me. I wish he had more depth
4. They let Changho off way too easily though what he did is so evil. also Yoonji
5. I hated how they made ML abit spiteful to FL in their breakup era just to push her away (huge kdrama cliche that i hate)
Positive things about this drama that I like
1. Dam Yejin's character and her story
2. Chemistry between leads are good and grown naturally
3. Comedy and humor
4. Ost and music choices are very good. I love how the music is muted in their romance scenes which made it more immersive
5. Kang Muwon and Kwang Mo gag comedy scenes
6. The bits of heartwarming plot in this drama (somyi and grandma)
7. Deokpung Villagers
OVERALL:
I love this drama so much contrary to the hate reviews people are giving it. It left me with a warm lingering feeling . I think i'll rewatch it from time to time when i need something funny, cute and warm to watch . Ending outro made me wanna cry lol

A masterpiece
A mix of every good you can think of being put into a medical drama. Plot was very fast paced and well written which doesn't happen much with this genre, so it's a good thing. A good mix of emotionally touching scenes and a good and fun humor code which made it easy to get invested with the cast and the story.I haven't watched any medical drama in ages, but this was probably one of the best ones among the one i have watched. Triggered me quite abit because of how graphic the scenes are ( It might be abit difficult for sensitive people who doesn't like too much gore) but i stayed through for the plot and Baek Kanghyeok. I adore that man so much! He is such an iconic ML. So much personality and charisma. I did not expect Ju Jihoon to be this good with this type of role. Baek Kanghyeok's team was also a joy to watch and root for, sometimes i sympathize with how he bullies them haha. Their team often gets pushed to the limits which has me on the edge of my seat , i'd say among the core highlights and exciting part of this show
One of my fav scenes was the plot twist for that 'one annoying doctor' . So please finish the show until the end.
Overall a very well made and solid drama

Not into it
The plot was too slow for my liking. It was so hard for me to finish some episodes i don't know why. It just wasn't enough to keep me invested. Some of the characters were very annoying like i didn't vibe with what they did. The parents also kind of pissed me off especially the ml's dad. God he is a very miserable and bitter man, i could not stand him. I get that he is still sad about his wife but he controls his son and then behaves so selfishly over things that had nothing to do with his kid. I'm also not feeling the lead's chemistry much for some reason. Was this review helpful to you?
