haha, I totally get what youāre trying to say and youāre not blabbering at all :) Anyway letās watch todayās episode and hope people will understand what weāve trying to imply :)
Honestly what's even a revenge kdrama without betrayal? If the protagonist is going hit to rock bottom betrayed…
Absolutely, the tension builds when the protagonist is cornered from all sides and betrayed by those he trusted and loved. It's what makes the story so compelling. As you said, even with so little revealed about the characters, they feel anything but shallow. Iām definitely here for Dongjinās journey and the crusade for revenge thatās bound to unfold. Itās going to be an intense ride!
She is using male lead for her revenge and people's are justifying it Seriously? Just cause she is a women so…
No one is justifying anything, and even if the roles were reversed, I would still hold the same perspective. Itās only the first episode, and thereās plenty of room for the plot to unfold and evolve. From the comments I've seen, it seems like there might be some personal discomfort with the theme of betrayal, but let's keep things respectful. If this particular storyline or theme isn't to your taste, that's totally understandable, but let's avoid labeling the hard work that the cast and crew put into this as "garbage." Constructive criticism is always welcome, but let's maintain respect for the effort that goes into creating such a show.
Itās crazy how early people are jumping to conclusions, especially since weāre only in the first episode. The level of scrutiny on the female lead (FL) feels unnecessary, to the point where some people are resorting to character assassination. Weāve got 16 episodes of plot and character development ahead of us, and it's important to remember that no oneās actions are being justified just yet. The show has barely begun to unfold, and there's plenty of room for growth. If the behavior really bothers someone, itās totally fine to stop watchingābut for those sticking around, the character depth and development will shine through. The dramaās writing is solid, giving the characters space to grow and explore complex human nature, showing how conflicting choices can have serious consequences. Itās a well-crafted story, and we havenāt even scratched the surface yet.
A reminder that this is a political thriller and betrayal is a given. Expecting a warm romance among the leads without any angst and disappointments in this genre and using that as a reason to drop the drama is uncalled for. Hyung Sikās doing an amazing job in this drama and his edgy and intense looks got me on a choke hold.
I gave up on this shit after the first episode, the cast is a joke, and the script was written by an idiot, the…
I get that you didn't like the show, and everyone has different opinions. I have seen you bad mouthing about recent other dramas as well as if youāre on a mission. But I think it's best to keep things respectful, even if we disagree. Calling the writer and the oneās watching it idiot doesnāt cut it. You lose credibility when you call such a great ensemble of cast a joke.
It's fun but the amount of plot holes and inconsistencies mean you'll have to turn your brain off lest you spend…
I just wanted to say, I really respect both you and Ivy for having such a thoughtful conversation. You both kept the discussion respectful, making valid points without resorting to attacking each other. Truly impressive and people here, myself included can learn a thing or two. :) Hwaiting
Seo Kang Joonās screen presence itself scores such aura points, the raw coldness and fiery looks is jus appealing. Jin Ki Joo and King Joon is going to be a chaotic duo for sure and looking forward to it. I really enjoyed the episode and the story, the cast and the balance between myster and comedy is making me root for this drama. 2025 is serving a Kdrama feast!!!!
