Well, i already expected that the one who burned the Tea Tree King was RSB himself, and I also had a feeling that Scholar Bai was just pretending. Since this drama is all about schemes, I wasn’t too surprised by the plot twists — the storyline was quite easy to predict. As for the wedding, i really hope it’s also part of a scheme, especially considering that in the preview for episode 30, RSB and LJL are flirting with each other again.
One more thing, i really hope the story won’t be rushed or turn strange as it approaches the ending. We’re already close to the final episodes, but the plot still doesn’t seem to be moving much — it’s still focused on the Rong family. We also haven’t gotten much of LJL’s backstory yet 😮💨, aside from what we know about his suffering childhood and his struggle to survive
This is the first time a drama has made me so confused because of the couple. Both of them are schemers—sly and freaky 😅 It feels like they’re competing over who’s more freak 😂😂 But i like it 🫢🫢
I started this yesterday and I’m 4 episodes in. Still enjoying it so far! Kinda curious if it’ll stay good since it hit a 30k heat index. Also… episode 4 and the FL & ML still haven’t met yet 😬
This drama just keeps getting better 🔥 I failed at waiting till ep 25 because spoilers were everywhere 🤡 and now i’m stuck at ep 23 suffering while waiting for the next episode 🤧
Honestly, i prefer Glory because it’s not a xianxia drama and plot-wise, it’s more interesting. I also enjoy HMH’s action in Glory—it’s real action, not just hand-waving or flying around 🤭 As for this drama, xianxia plots always feel repetitive with all the time travel and reincarnation. I’m holding at episode 32 when it went back 10,000 years ago because it felt too dragged out, even though the main goal is to resolve the misunderstanding between the demon and human clans
the plot has officially entered the angsty phase, so I’m forcing myself to stop watching until around episode 25 maybe. to avoid suffering from the long wait 😆
Is anyone confused about Jun Dai? He's originally a servant in the Rong's household, given to LJL by Shanbao,…
After Jun Dai found out that LJL’s true identity was a government official, he was immediately happy (during the scene where Jun Dai was eavesdropping). My guess is that if Jun Dai follows LJL, his career prospects would be much better than if he remained just a household servant of the Rong family. That’s why he became loyal to LJL
Wow, what episode are we even on now, HMH’s screen time is so little—sometimes he’s not even there at all. We only hear his voice when he becomes Xiao Yezi. I really hope the next episode’s side story won’t be like this again, completely not involving the ML (it reminds me of other xianxia, pretty much the same situation 😮💨)
Btw, Xiao Yezi is so cute and adorable 🥰 and HMH’s voice fits him perfectly. I already guessed it was his voice because the tone is so HMH, even though his speaking style is different
Modern dramas are definitely more predictable than these kinds of dramas. Come on, there are literally no limits…
Well, i was only saying that the role is the same, not the character or the storyline . The characters and the storyline are obviously different. What I’m talking about is the role👍🏻
I tried watching the first episode and, surprisingly, i enjoyed it and wanted to continue. I’ve now watched up to episode 8 and i’m quite satisfied overall. (Tan Songyun is so cute here. Her baby face really hasn’t changed at all 😄) Even though there are some plot holes and many of the scene transitions are a bit messy, i can still put all of that aside as long as i’m enjoying the storyline.
Honestly, with a xianxia fantasy genre like this, the general plot is quite predictable. There are bound to be many side stories and there might be a storyline involving reincarnation, time travel, or similar elements, which often come with the risk of a sad ending 🥲
Hou Ming Hao’s role here also feels similar to his role in his previous drama Fangs of Fortune—a powerful demon spirit, known as the King of Demons, who is often misunderstood by the human clans. Personally, i find this a bit repetitive. He’s taken on several wuxia fantasy projects, and once again he’s playing a demon 😅 (Sorry, this isn’t meant as hate toward HMH—I’m just a little tired of seeing similar roles from him lately.) But ! his acting is still solid in my opinion !
Okay, last but not least— His new drama (again 😄) airing tomorrow is finally not xianxia, so i hope it won’t be disappointing.
The lawyer actor JJK suprisingly looks like actor Cheng Lei especially the eyes and nose. He played that handsome…
Aaah yeah! I also thought his face looked familiar but couldn’t figure out who at first. When you mentioned Cheng Lei, i was like, oh yeah—he really does look like Cheng Lei 😬
In my opinion, Episode 1 was quite good and made me look forward to the next episode. Kim Jae Young’s singing turned out to be pretty good too 😃 By the way, I was so annoyed during the scene where the sasaengs broke into Do Ra Ik’s house. My God, they’re psychos
Why did this show have so much episodes like 21 episodes more on mydramalist but on the YouTube just 8 ?
Originally, there are indeed only 9 episodes. It seems that MDL also counts one additional episode for each official episode, where the members and guests play games, followed by clips of the members and guests performing songs on stage. If you watch it on the iQIYI app, iQIYI releases many video clips, so MDL may be following the number of videos released by iQIYI. However, up to now, there are still only 9 episodes
I expected a full-on disaster movie about a massive flood, but the title was misleading 😮💨 The acting was great, but the genre just wasn’t my thing From the initial trailer, it didn’t seem to be heading toward science fiction at all
