Don't try to make logic when the premise itself has none. When time travel is possible, the ML is accepting it…
True, everyone is different.. I was WAY more mature than that at 23. I agree this isn't deeply thought out script, but , this is a sci fi romance.. but they don't address it, like you said, and that's annoying. They don't have to ask any big questions, but she should consider if she could wipe herself out at least. I don't remember the reason you would say she was spoiled rotten. But, no matter, it's not brain surgery like you inferred. haha
Drama cool. I find the wetv website is down:/. I went to watch there with VIP..
Thanks, yes I don't know what was happening, the Wetv site, not the app, just came up but there was no content for several days. Just text.. It's back up today.
I think this one is the actual remake, chang an youth only had similar premise. Anyway anticipating this one because…
I felt the same way, haha.. plus so many lame plots... they drop out of school for a little bit to go to war and then counsel and teach a war veteran general... then just go back to school.. hilarious..
I know it’s early. But does it explain why FL lies so much?
actually, from just the first episode, it looks like she was instructed to lie for her boss to keep him from insulting people he shouldn't. I don't think she is supposed to be a person with a lying problem.
I do really like this, this is just a comment. I feel like they should have changed her look for her past self. She looks the exact same except with silly clothes and contrived immature behavior. There be spoilers here , argh: By ep 14 I am shocked that she has no worries about affecting her future. She not only interacts with her younger self, but that younger self moves in with the ML?! She says she's not worried because she won't fall in love with him, but how can she think that because she has. Not to mention will her younger self grow into the woman she is today because she is now taking a different route. Also, I can't believe how completely annoying her younger self acts, like she's 7 yrs old not 23.. And why would her younger self still think her older self stole her boyfriend away when she finds out she's living with the ML? I have really liked this drama, but it's starting to get frustrating in it's stupidity ..
Agree with all that you said. The whole accident scene lost its impact with the slow motion the different angles…
agree, I can only say that at least he didn't just move in with her like he did in all the other versions and leave his pregnant wife at home. Here they tried to give him an excuse why he would be there. But still, I just don't know why I watch all the versions of this story because it offends me so much, haha
I finally watched episode 23-24 and I think they underplayed the accident and miscarriage thing, like it wasn't…
I agree with most of what you said. Except the character of Anson in other versions also caused trouble because he misunderstood that the ML was falling for his wife.. in my memory. In every version it's hard not to dislike the ML's character because he is so wishy washy ( and cruel also) that it causes so much pain. In fact, if he had told Anson in this version how he felt about his wife, Anson would know that he wasn't still in love with Anna. Instead he constantly makes excuses for why he's doing the things he does for his wife. I personally think the accident scene didn't need blood, but it did need a way better action scene with a stunt double. I understand they are toning it down, but that looked pretty silly and took away from the tragedy of the situation. But the real reason I am replying to you is your last sentence that you're upset that they'll only be together for 9 episodes and I can't count the times I have been so upset and angry at a drama because after all the couple go through we only get to see them together for a few minutes of the last episode. That really made me chuckle:)
Altho, I have always hated that he was engaged to Anna again when he meets up with the FL character again after the years of separation. I have thought they needed her in the story still so he could find out what Anna had done but he didn't have to be engaged to her! To me that felt like he would always go back to her and it diminished the love he supposedly felt for the FL's character.. altho, it's just the romantic idea of it for me, I know that's not realistic
Hey just a bold idea I have: what if you don't judge a drama after watching the first 5 minutes of the first eps???
exactly... so many dramas start out rough.. to be fair, this did had many lame tropes with the FL being rude and clumsy etc.. but it ends there pretty much.. I don't know why they did that, but this drama def. needs a more time before you make your mind.
I always feel disheartened when I read comments about age gap romances.. Everyone is entitled to their opinions tho. I happen to believe love is about people, not looks, age, race or gender. If it's a good story and done well, I will be happy. There are so many great actors that aren't model perfect, but it's their personality that makes them attractive. I don't know these actors but I will give it a chance.
My dear..... Don't blame people that dropped it, if you are good fan following cdrama rather than dropping it,…
Her last paragraph literally said " Don't blame people that dropped it..." and her point for her review was ->the first episodes aren't that good but if you stick with it it gets better.
Remakes are nothing new and having been going on in all countries since film started. I disliked FYRL intensely.. I agree, the ML acted like mentally challenged child when he was supposed to have amnesia, and the FL was just nothing special at all. Truthfully, I liked PTIF but always hope it could be updated. I also saw the remake Waking Love up, and enjoyed Roy Chui as the ML. But I have never understood what was lovable about a town of crooks? The FL, her mother, the Inn owner and his employees all do unscrupulous things, there was no one to like. FYRL had the employees doing such ridiculous, dated, comedy bits on top of it and I just hated it. I felt like the Chinese Meteor Garden remake was a sweet homage to the original. It had it's faults but it wasn't detestable. But Hana Yori Dango will always be my fav. I think the Chinese remake of You are my Destiny is a sweeter, more respectful telling of this story that actually has lots of cruelness in it. I appreciate there were several characters that they changed from being villains to likable loyal characters. I will only agree that I don't think Xing Zhao Lin is up to a highly charged emotional scene. BTW, you guessed alittle wrong about YAMD and how it plays out from you just watching the trailer.
I think the 1st ep of this drama is not a good representation of the rest of it. It seems like they tried to rope viewers in the that typical clumsy girl schtick, but that's not how this drama plays out. She is not a dumb, clumsy, rude FL, she is smart and efficient for the most part. The ML is actually the immature, petty, spoiled character that evolves. The drama is not earth shattering, but I am enjoying it . The ML is quirky and the FL is the opposite of all those things everyone is complaining about in the first episode that I can't stand as well.
Its easy to call someone ugly and old behind a screen.
yea, so we know she's is supposed to be older than him so why point out she looks 'old'? Sounds like you are backtracking when being confronted for disparaging the FL. Yes, the 1st ep had some lame typical dumb FL stuff. But it doesn't continue that way. In fact, because she's older and more experienced than the ML, she helps him a lot and figures things out for him.
