His character grew on me, as I am sure it's meant to be. But I went from 'um-no" to " ahh-cute". They turned into a cute couple. I will say the amount of ' drugging' in this story is OTT, and the idea that glasses and hair in a bun makes someone ugly is preposterous. It's the Clark Kent syndrome that proves I can't blame this on culture, just some writer's shortcut in storytelling.

This was an interesting watch.. I don't usually like 'deception' stories. She's with him for revenge against others. And he's VERY controlling and alpha, so she's treated like a pet. But, as the story goes on we see he's really all in with his feelings and his character wises up. Also, she has problems of her own that he is completely supportive and caring about. His family comes off elitist , but in a somewhat believable way considering the story. However, they are characters written as human , with compassion and the ability to change also. So I found this story a little different than many of it's kind.

I used to have a subscription thru Apple a few years ago. And I remember this happening to me also. TBH, I don't remember well, I think it happened twice.. I feel like the first time I resigned in and it began working.. Then it happened again .. I may have contacted their support, but sorry, I don't remember. I did end up canceling my subscription.. it was troublesome.

I think I have PTSD from Ashes of Love. haha... "that" scene at the wedding, I have never been as infuriated as I was watching that. I closed out my program, turned off my computer , walked out of my computer room before I broke something. I couldn't finish watching it until 2 weeks later I was so p*ssed. lol

I watched POB and am a fan.. I like Caesar Wu and because this drama was reportedly taken down the same day it premiered in China I was interested in why. I think some of the first scenes is really the main reason, and it was a bold choice by the director. imo. I personally feel that the shorter time format just doesn't work for this story. It's only because I watched POB that I had an understanding of what all was happening.. I think the leads in this drama did a good job, the costumes were lavish, and the direction was bolder than some. Even tho I've read this version is closer to the book, I liked the way POB's FMC was written with more intelligence. I feel sorry for the production team who put all that effort into this work, and it isn't being seen in their own country.

Thanks!! I have no idea how you do that:) Well, I did find it on YT from another uploader, but it's still cut off before the end. Both uploaders end in the same place so I assume they get it from the same place, or each other ... All the comments there comment on the story, but I don't see anyone saying it's ends when it's clearly not over. Here on MDL it says it's 160 minutes, both versions the uploaders have on YT is 139 min.. oh well, I appreciate your help very much:)
Edit: haha, well I found your links on the MDL page for this drama.. All of them have the same ending, so maybe it's just me? If that's the ending, it is so odd.

Yes, I was trying to find it on MDL. I know they use many different names on YT for the same drama, sometimes when I know the actor I can try to find a full version. But I am having no luck on this one.

Do you know of a YT drama called 'Her childhood fiancé ran away for two years to avoid marriage, so she married his brother!' ? It doesn't have an ending, ( imo) and I don't know the actors so can't search for it under another name.

Well, it's such a narrow POV. Everyone ages, unless they die.. It doesn't make them creepy. It just shows how young you are that you have such a limited view.
