where are you watching?

I'm on ep 6..So far for me it's a misstep.Dramas usually have the obnoxious female villain in dramas fake act pitiful, simpering, cloying to cling to the ML. But our FL has been doing it for four eps and it's not cute or funny to me. It's SO tiresome. I hope they make her character stop that schtick real soon or I have to move on.

same, the opening was there for the brother to return, but it just felt odd ,short and of little importance.

I liked them. First as an introduction to this drama we see two intelligent people who don't really give up on each other but always trying to outwit each other to HAVE each other. I also felt they showed the most longing for each other. And to be fair ,every single couple had back and forth. In fact, I knew from the beginning who the youngest sister would end up with and I so looked forward to that story. But I found it so tiresome how many eps were spent beating and testing her husband. They made his character into flinching puppy and I didn't enjoy that.

I just saw a vertical drama of his on YT called 'The Rose is Poisonous, Yet the Big Boss Willingly Bows to Her..' I don't know what the original title is. I was so impressed with his acting.. Enough to make me search him out here on MDL.. I don't see this drama in his list above tho?

I am not usually a 'rewatcher', but the copy cat dramas made me miss it.. I thought I would give it a try to see if it still kept my interest. This was around a year ago. I couldn't stop watching it, watched all the way through.

My thought has always been that Junhwa's character would always have the possibility of going to the dark side... But I always believed that he would end up on the right side, even if he slips for a bit, and the power for the good of the country would be in those 4 roomies:)

While Sungkyunkwan Scandal is one of my all time favs, I always watch the ones that follow to see if they will be good. I always wish I was watching Sungkyunkwan Scandal again.

:) Well, art is in the eye of the beholder, we all know that:) And I find some art 'dreck' and it hangs in museums haha... I think when you have a film project, it involves a creative vision.. and artistic leaning to want to create that vision, and the production crew work to achieve it. I think it's art, even if I think it's lacking.

yes, I'm from the US and there have been many school shootings that a gun and school mixture on a poster would be a trigger for many people . I completely know this isn't made for the US, but let's not pretend they don't know they have western viewers.

Well, I guess it's what kind of meaning is being talked about? I find many people want to have a moral to the story, or a lesson learned in all their entertainment. I always wonder why can't a story just be a story? If you watched someone's biography, perhaps there wouldn't be a great meaning to their story, it just was.. and the art is in the telling. So that's what I mean, it doesn't have to have a profound meaning or lesson... but it does have to effect us. That is what art does, it effects us emotionally.
