I will disagree that the emperor drove his own son to death.. Prince Qing made his choices.. He felt bad for his mother, and he was brainwashed by her, but ultimately, it was his decision to plot and plan to kill LOTS of innocent people and his father to usurp the throne.
The empress had a sad wake up call to be sure, when she overheard she would have to die with the emperor because he didn't trust her. Of course that changed her, and I understand , actually I guess I can't put myself in those shoes if I heard that. But the emperor was afraid she would kill the CP and she proved she was capable of just that . That is a sad revolving cause and effect story in my mind.
I do think we find the emperor, in the end, did have intelligence and justice and serving his people were his goals. But he is constrained by his position and keeping his position to make sure the country will be served.
I saw SH's scheming eyes for a long time after his marriage to An Su.. But I think he killed her brother when he saw him push her down and treat her badly. That's when I began to see he cared for her... and then he refused to kill her.. Too bad he was already twisted for a long time by the time he met her.

In their first life, she cheated with her husband.. and was slowly poisoning her to take her place.

HE... it's worth more than 8.9 imo .... I think it's a near perfect drama, not perfect, but so excellent in so many ways. You can read in these posts... It's very fulfilling.

He's good, multi layered, deeper than what's obvious.. human, but constrained by his position.

I really just loved this. I think it's a near perfect drama. So beautifully done in every way, pacing, acting , direction, cinematography and the story. I love that's it's a rebirth story that is not about revenge. If I named every thing I loved, this would be too long. It is an extremely fulfilling drama to watch. I highly recommend.

yes, it completely follows for CDramas that the ML won't fall in love until he knows it's a woman. Like I mentioned, I've learned to live with it because I like the trope also :) . Sk is not as bad, Coffee Prince is one of may absolute favs, but there have been many after that weren't so daring.

A commenter once said the reason that is filmed that way is because of China's laws against homosexuality.. So they don't want to portray that a male character would actually be attracted to a male looking character.. That made sense when I read it. It's completely my trope also so I always go with flow anyway and just accept it. haha

I'm always wary of robot/human romances... they usually don't end well.

This drama is really good. The direction is great, the acting, cinematography is good, and I love this is a rebirth story that is not about revenge. It deserves a higher rating than shows here on MDL imo

I thought the other woman's throat was slit? But, it's confusing.. the woman who was standing and had her throat slit was in soft pale clothing .. The woman who fell to the ground, there was a cut away so we didn't see how she was attacked, was the woman with her face covered and dressed like a fortune teller. And the fortune teller was the one the ML had spoken to. OTH, the fortune teller looked like SunYan.. so I was just baffled.

Yes, I had seen that post to you and followed that link when I realized DC wasn't updating. . It looks like another site that didn't have a lot on it. I always worried that DC would bite the dust someday, but they did seem to stay ahead by changing their servers/name often. I have seen sites that used DC's same look, but they weren't DC.

I will take a look at those... if I can find them now.. :/ Thank you.. I try to watch only happy endings, enough real life sad things, I don't find it entertaining anymore like I could when I was younger.

well, I thought she wasn't actually dead.. you know how many people are thrown off cliffs in CDramas and survive? haha... So I thought she could be being nursed somewhere by someone and be able to come back , just as one possibility. I could think of many more how they could have ended it happily for all.

they don't appear to have much on there tho, lots of older dramas and some newer ones. No way to make a playlist.. I wonder if it's the same company tbh. There are so many copycats.

Thanks, I've been so busy and I thought I was seeing things yesterday as it didn't look like it was updating..checked tonight and saw that it wasn't.. I appreciate it, they usually have a forward on their page before they switch over to a new server, but it looks like they may be having some issues... I just checked.. it looks like a lot of older dramas are being uploaded and I don't see where you can sign in and get your bookmark list.. perhaps that will come in the future, or not :)

I may give it a look, tho that still sounds frustrating haha .. Also tho, I didn't know how they would resolve the problem since it looked like there truly was only one body now for both women. I kept hoping they would find Qing Qing's body
