This is really pretty good for a mini. The acting is well done, in fact better than well done. The direction, costume and set design are all good quality. The story is interesting.

It's called acting, it's a career and a career choice that he made. Why would you judge his career decisions? Also, many people in the world are married and have children and full blown careers at 23 and there are many people who are 50 but still acting like a teenager. It's narrow minded to judge imo.

I just binged the manga yesterday and I loved it so much.. I came here to see if the live action had been made.. I am off to find it, fingers crossed!

she immersed herself for a year.. that's serious, and psychologically difficult.

No she lost a lot of weight for this role.. I think it wasn't needed, as you say, she was already skinny... I think makeup would have been enough to make her look sick but I guess she was reaching for that deeper dedication to her craft like song Ha Yoon .

This felt like a very old fashioned KDrama to me. It was pretty mediocre also imo. The acting was good, but that's honestly the most I can say about it.

yes, I appreciate her character, that's she's not dumb, she's just lacks experience.. and while she has a plan for the greater good of the ML's character, he kept her in the dark repeatedly while trying to decide if he wanted to use her or not.... So I am thrilled he doesn't have control right now, and can suffer a little. He gave the ultimatum at the end, and was surprised to see what she chose.. I had a little inside giggle. :)

I like this drama, and look forward to the episodes. They pack a lot of story into each episode, but it doesn't feel rushed or incoherent at all. It feels like a longer episode. I personally feel that the FL's character , while naive, isn't dumb. When she get's into trouble, it's not because she's an air head, it's based on rational thinking based on the info she had at hand. I don't care for her makeup, but I guess they are tying her to her youth with it. I do like the ML's makeup, I feel it makes him more striking. I really liked the Chief Eunuchs right hand man, he brought some good humor. And I have grown to like the 'princess', she's become more 3 dimensional that many jealous, plotting SFL's.

I'm guessing you're young... Your feelings feel like they fall in line with people who care more about how the performer looks rather than their ability to act the role. Perhaps I am wrong, but call him 'grandpa' is much. He's middle aged. Older men can be attractive, viable, romantic, sexy, and many other things. I personally care more about if an actor is doing their job well and I feel moved by their performance.

Just watched.. I thought it was a cute romcom, until it wasn't. I can't say I even was sad, I was mad. Part of the pain was taken away because they had a different actress playing her when she's older, but I felt so annoyed and detached that they did that to me. I feel like I wasted the whole movie for an ending that left me empty. It voided the movie for me personally. Good performances by all. But S.E.'s are not my cup of tea.

I keep thinking there's a reason we have 'seen' the Prince that the Left council wants to put on the throne.. Perhaps he's the emperors brother? I think he's the twist where he is not working with the left side, but secretly being a double agent. And he's a possible groom for the elder sister. As the royal family would welcome her into their family as she saved the CP.. I keep thinking the elder sister will meet him, but not know who he is. Ok, this is all the storyline I made up in my head, haha.. but there's a reason they're keeping his face a secret. imo

I think it's normal for her to be torn back and forth.. I don't think she expected to fall for anyone, and I think that women were brought up that way. To honor their dead husband and his family. So when she sad about her husband, I'm sure that's true. When she says she doesn't like the ML, I'm sure that's not true. She is either in denial, or accepting her supposed lot in life. This was always a comedic twist kind of story. With the ML's character being the one who needs taken care of, altho he's very intelligent. It's also a slow burn because neither of the leads are supposed to be able to be with someone else for the rest of their lives. I am enjoying it, all of it, the sisters prospective grooms as well.
