Title was a total missell. There is no pumping up of healthy love. First 6 episodes were entertaining but I lost interest during last few episodes. If you watch this drama with the expectation of a sitcom, you can enjoy this.
I liked the goofy humour of this drama. It is way too long and way too much nonsense though. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the good parts and I laughed even during dramatic moments because it was just stupid writing. Liked the fact that the leads were not another idol couple but rather older actors. FL looked that romantic gaze to perfection.
Every fight of Shen Li was a dramatic entrance. Followed by theme music like WWE entrance music. She will first throw few punches, only to be handed a trashing 🤣
First 4 episodes were the weirdest thing that I have seen in dramas but it gradually became better. The girl was whipped from start to finish. FL is like the ML from Dali and Cocky Prince. ML was exactly what I had expected before starting the drama. He reminded me of the ML from Summer strike or You raise me up.
Like most Cdrama, I fast forwarded boring plots and last few episodes. Main couple were truly one of the most mature and non conflict couple that I have seen. I caught myself genuinely smiling few times seeing them being a married couple.
The only thing I am contemplating at the end of this is to whether to rate it a 9 or a 9.5
I don't want to nitpick potholes or inconsistencies as I enjoyed this very much. Last 2 episodes were bit weak but not bad. Random killing added nothing to the plot.
The romantic relationship between any coach and player is uncomfortable and inappropriate to begin with and the age of the characters make it appear worse. Makers of this drama could have made it less jarring by making them 25 or above. Like you could have made ML a discarded sports talent, who overcomes prejudice of height in sports and overcomes the obstacles to achieve success.
If you discard the age difference, it's not a bad drama. Some parts were interesting and some meh. The 26 episodes count also seems weird. Maybe they cut few episodes which is why the ending seems out of place.
It was not a bad drama but they really should have stuck with the slice of life feel of the first 15 episodes. It became nonsense in the middle and the FL started fighting assassins. Then it came back to its original slice of life tone, only to become dramatic overblown nonsense.
Music director of this drama really went apeshit in the second half and it seems no one told him the genre of the drama 😂
Overall, this one has no rewatch value. Rating this 7/10
