Absolutely, I still listen to the OSTs, and the songs move me emotionally. As I mentioned, I rewatch many scenes over and over again, and they affect me as if I'm seeing them for the first time. There were truly powerful scenes in the series... Cinematically, it was definitely a very well-done drama. The story made me empathize with every character. That's why this series will always be very special to me.
I came back here because I missed this drama so much. I literally love everything about this series. Yes, the issue of Xiaoyao's partner caused a lot of debate among people, but I really enjoyed watching this series. When you think of it not as a love story but as the story of two orphaned cousins, and you don't focus too much on the couples, everything becomes perfect. Zhang Wanyi's incredible acting and Yang Zi's amazing performance went so well together that they made me enjoy the series from start to finish. The rest of the cast also really enhanced the drama. Although Xiaoyao's choice was very controversial, everything went in line with the logic of the story. That's why I found every character's choice and ending logical, and thus, the ending of the series was satisfying for me. Each character ended up with the consequences of their own choices. I also want to say that the series had many impactful scenes. For example, the moment Xiaoyao reunited with her father in the first season was very moving for me. I can't help but praise Yang Zi's performance; it’s still one of the scenes I watch repeatedly. Although the second season is labeled as 'bad' on platforms like TikTok due to everything coming to an end and some people being dissatisfied, I never agree with this. The second season actually had more peak scenes than the first. The illusion scene, in particular, was one of the best things I watched this year. In the scene where Ji Yang's inner demon is sealed, I was expecting an epic battle scene with Ji Yang, the Fox, and the Demon, but they just said the Demon was sealed without any fight. In the last scene, Ji Yang and Nan Yan's battle was going really well, and then suddenly the words '3 years later' appeared on the screen. What was that???
