boring and captivating at the same time. never seen a film trying to tell a story through script readings before. very interesting but you need patience to watch it
On Tell Me What You Saw Mar 23, 2020
not a very memorable or special drama imo. it was very difficult to connect to the characters. entertaining enough to watch until the end though and the actors did a great job
On The Man Standing Next Mar 18, 2020
i almost always end up liking political thrillers and this one was no exception. i didn't know much about the assassination of president park chung hee, so it was super interesting to learn more. overall i enjoyed it !

the story is lacking but the visuals are outstanding. my least favorite film of zhang yimou so far but somewhat not disappointing either. + i want a blade umbrella now
On Tell Me What You Saw Mar 4, 2020
honestly i am a bit disappointed by this one. the premise was interesting at first but now i feel like there's so many lost opportunities with the story and the characters are very lackluster and one-dimensional. every week i've just been hoping for it to get better but it's probably too late now. it's sad to see because it has so much potential

if you want to watch something sweet and heart-warming, i recommend this film!!

Title Moon Young
felt too short and too long at the same time. i wanted to like it more than i did... loved Taeri as always though
On Right Now, Wrong Then Feb 8, 2020
my favorite Hong Sang Soo film so far. quiet, honest, subtle. interesting to see how small changes can make a lot of difference and how complex human relationships can be... honestly, i just love conversations and Kim Min Hee

Title Maggie
it was a fun watch. very charming movie with cool cinematography that i appreciated a lot although it usually isn't my cup of tea
On In the Absence Feb 8, 2020
frustrating and heartbreaking. although the documentary was short, you got a very straightforward and clear explanation of what happened, definitely worth watching if you don't already know much about the tragedy since it gives you a lot of information
