The last Taiwan BL I saw was We Best Love so I find it kinda interesting that this one also features men in suits. I'm not complaining of course, suitsexual is fine. Reading through some comments, I'm seeing some flak aimed at Taiwanese BLs. To my mind, however, T-BLs are the only shows that consistently depict actually married same-sex life (and not just fantasy marriages), which is a huge flex since among the Asian countries that produce BLs they're the only ones where same-sex unions are legal.
I've been mustering the energy/MP/chi/mana to watch this show, and the comments/reviews are withering. In general, the MDL community knows where it's really at, so I will probably drop this in favor of Blueming. #ThaiNuma better step up, the K-BLs are really coming for their crown.
Why do I get this niggling feeling that Kinn's father is responsible for orphaning Porsche? He keeps playing chess, that's always a sign of a mastermind villain.
So I just stumbled upon this show a couple of days ago, and I watched the first episode because, duh, Zee. And it looks like they found someone who has similar qualities as Saint, how about that. In general, I'm not a fan of unequal power dynamics in relationships, particularly something as lopsided as this show portrays. Unfortunately, it seems Zee's character will be fully clothed for the vast majority of the series, so there's that perk gone. Finally, it would have been nice if MaxNat's characters were the polar opposite of the main pair. This show and Enchante are neck-and-neck on my chopping block.
3-episode rule. What a dumpster fire. I guess it's one thing if P'Aof directs a show (DBK, ATOTS), but it's another thing entirely if he just co-produces it (FUTS, this show).
