I think this is his first big role and he is really good, he nailed it in The Double. His role character has more depth than Xiao Heng’s character. He is a scene stealer… Hope to see him more main roles without much hates😅😅

I see. But there were never any scenes between the 2 you mentioned (holding hands). He is only loved by the Princess Wan Ning. And yes Shen Yu Rong has a bad ending but I don’t feel his ending satisfying enough after all the bad things he has done…

Hmm…different people interpret it differently. It could be her imagination. She imagine him combing her hair too. To me, in logical sense, both his aides died and he is left alone in the battle. Unless there is a troupe of soldiers coming to save him (we did not see that), it is tough to survive. In this drama, I see JL as the main character with people revolving around her to carry the flow of story (it’s like her life story), even it means ending alone by herself. So, with an open ending, it can make everyone happy with a bonus clip😅

She did not treat Shen Yu Rong. She treat JL’s brother, Xue Zhao. JL did mention in the bonus clip that Xue Zhao went to visit Situ and she told JL that she is happy to be acquainted with him..that’s all…

You know why? Because the director’s intention is open ending in their first plan….probably because the drama become so popular that they decided to add in bonus clip (heard they just film it recently) and give the fans a happy ending😅

But Shen Yu Rong and Ye Shi Jie are both guys….not lovers..more like they are in love with Jiang Li (XFF)…

Oh…Just realised Shen Yu Rong and Wan Ning roles become main cast😅..well it make sense to change…but Ye Shi Jie still feels like supporting role…

Actually the casting of main and supporting quite weird… Wan Ning & Shen Yu Rong seems to have more screen time (and storyline) than Ye Shi Jie but they are supporting roles and Ye Shi Jie’s screen time is not much and don’t really have a side story for his role and he is main cast🤔

I was about to say that too. I have really enjoyed this from start to maybe episode 36/37… then the last few episodes are a bit lacklustre. The last battle should end with the King’s brother revolting…the death of the Princess and SYR is not as satisfying as I hope to see. We should at least see both of them facing the wrath and get punished more severely for plotting against the Xue family..because that is the start of the whole saga and should end with it. Anyways, overall it’s a good drama.

I share the same sentiments..episode 40 is like open ending. XH left alone in the battle is hard to say that he can survive..unless miraculously there is a trope of soldiers coming in to save him ( but we did not get to see it). Maybe the director changed his mine to give us a happy ending with the bonus clip. They probably film it recently to make the “The Double” fans happy…😘👏

Watching some of the trailers and it’s so funny. Hope it comes out tomorrow..been waiting for LYX drama for so long…now rewatching TTEOTM again while waiting.. hope FYH can have high rewatch value too……
