Mings behaviour is even worst of the worst of rich spoilt kids. He never smiles, he is rude to everyone, Treats…
Beautiful delulu Joe. I have been that delusional before. It's like a stage of development.
But I think we see many moments when Ming shows he cares for Joe. They are just microexpressions and small acts which don't balance with the HORRIBLE things he does.
But I still think that people treat people how they, themselves, have been treated. OR, at a minimum, it is very, very challenging for someone who is not self-aware to treat other people better than they treat themselves.

Oh, I only see LOVE as a verb. What love does Ming show anyone? Who ever shows him any love? I feel like his sister shows him forgiveness and tolerance absent understanding.
Joe has one “friend” who abandons him when he needs him. No family. People around who want to possess him- Ming and Sun. He tried to show caring towards Ming and accepts Ming’s non responses. I was surprised Joe left him even when he realized that Ming thought he was a stand-in for the back he fell in love with.
Up is killing it with his portrayal of Ming’s feelings towards Joe, but Ming is not “loving” Joe with his actions and he surely isn’t loving Tong either.

I just don’t see it the same. I see him hating himself and lying to himself about what love even is. He has none. Period. No love. No friends. No one who knows him and can call him on his bullshit. Friends do that for us. Family. Who KNOWS Ming besides “rebithed” Joe eventually?
I don’t see him as living a human life.
Would I be kind to him in life? I’d avoid him most likely. Joe should have as well. But Joe is another one with one sort of friend only (Wut, and he isn’t a true friend in the end) and no family. Everyone else wants to possess him.

I mean! We can't say he ruined the relationship with his sister either.
He is just flat in affect. Does he even know he seems depressed?

He possesses no emotions that are purely positive. How can he be kinder to anyone else than he is to himself?
I’m not making excuses for him and saying what he does is good (or even not evil). His behavior does seem consistent with his history.
