I'll admit, TopMew is my least anticipated couple, but that's because I really didn't love ABAAB. Maybe this show will change my mind (and since it's been hinted before that they're the only ones who will be endgame, goodness I hope so lol)
How is Pear "problematic and awkward"? All she does is encourage her friends and be nice?
You can not like a character - people dislike all kinds. What gets my personal goat (so to speak) is the insistence that she's being underhanded and manipulative for simply seeing where things might go with a guy she knows likes her. It's this need to paint her as a villain when so far she's been nothing but decent.

I have to say that I really hope you're wrong. That faen fatale crap from the female LI in some BLs is old and tired. There is literally nothing wrong with what she is doing right now, nothing. She's free, Kawi is free, and she knows he likes her so why not see if there can be something there? To me that seems like a normal reaction - they call it a rebound for a reason, and tons of people do it. It doesn't make them inherently shady.
Also, as to your assertations that she's using Kawi to get close to Piseang...as of this episode they are definitely not being reflected in canon. The one time Pisaeng and Kawi interact around her it's awkward as hell, and aside from asking them both to eat when they're sitting together she never asks Kawi to bring Pisaeng along, etc. Whatever her motivations or feelings, her focus is clearly on Kawi.
I love Pear, and I have to say that your reaction to her very human reaction at being rejected bothers me a lot. I can't help but feel like if Kawi decided to chase Pisaeng after Pear rejected him he would not be getting the same amount of weird hate and accusations of shadiness.
Well I am liking it quite a bit so far. I don't know what to expect because I've not read the manga and I will try to avoid spoilers, but it's definitely got that melancholy feel that Japan does so well, and with a former illness that hospitalized Kazuma for a month I'm not going to be feeling secure in a happy ending. Japan does love their tragedies.
Curious about the big secret that Hide is badly hiding - whatever it is both sent him sobbing *and* has Ren being withdrawn, so it's gotta be something good (by which I mean angsty).
I just.... how can Pear like him so fast after seemingly liking Pisaeng for a long time
It makes perfect sense to me. She just got rejected by someone she really likes, and she knows Kawi really likes *her*, so why not give him a chance and try to let him heal the hurt caused by Pisaeng's rejection?
😂😂 that sounds like the only friends plot...Max being Kawi's bestie, it definitely won't go well in future.…
I'm done pretending that FirstKhao aren't the reason that I am interested - I have only seen ForceBook in ABAAB and I didn't finish it, and of course MarkNeo are an unknown (that I was admittedly not that into until the latest BTS pic). That said, while I do trust Jojo to give me an authentic, engaging show, I do *not* trust him to give me what my heart truly craves (and that's for San(d) and Ray to end up together at the end).
I do know it'll be a lot of fun, though. Especially if I can remove myself from getting too invested in any character but especially San(d), ha (but he's played by First so that might be a lost cause).

I am trying! I do trust P'Jojo! Honestly I wouldn't be half as jazzed if it wasn't that cast with P'Jojo at the helm. I trust him to give me an authentic experience (if not necessarily the endgame my heart desires ðŸ˜)
All jokes aside, this show really said "kindness doesn't cost you anything, stop being mean" and my goodness, people listened. I don't think that we've seen the end of Not being the worst, but I like that Kwan being so decent to him rippled outward. Because she's not wrong - it's easy to tear people down, sure, but why? Kindness doesn't cost anything more, and you get the added boost of making someone's day a little bit brighter. And genuinely, I love that it was Not she did it for, because he's arguably one of the people who deserves it the least, The show really said *everyone* deserves encouragement, even you. And I love that. I love it.
Max is my favorite character in this drama, my goodness. He's decent but he doesn't mince words. Honestly everyone should have someone like that in their life. Kawi is very lucky.
Don't fight me, but I really think that while Kawi doesn't get over Praew, Pisaeng should do some gay things with…
I'd dig it.
Honestly I have never been a fan of people putting themselves in cold storage while their LI gets it together. Let Pisaeng explore this new side of himself while Kawi is busy pining for someone else.
I agree. I expected more angst cause I thought Jung's character wouldn't confess soon. But the new trailer is…
I'd be happier if this were airing the same time as one of the ones I expect to be extremely angsty/messy, like Only Friends or Dangerous Romance. Something to break up the inevitable heartbreak in the other two, ha.
Nothing wrong with fluff. And SIMM itself was cute, if not revolutionary.
This looks very low angst which I'm not necessarily complaining about, I just think I expected different from the mock trailer. That's why you can't trust those things! Betrayed!
I'll at least give it a few eps before I make up my mind.
I'm so bored watching Hidden Agenda trailerNot sure if I want to endure just for AouBoomI endured OS2 SIMM for…
Wait what is July packed with? I feel like nothing is coming out (but then again it could just be that the ones I want most I won't see until August at the earliest, ha).
Maybe wait until we get actual confirmation about an episode count before worrying? Unless it came from someone…
Yeah I saw people freaking out on tumblr earlier. It's like, just chill for now, guys. They haven't even finished filming and we have no idea how long it will or will not be.
I think we're all just going a little stir crazy while we wait for a release date and get all this info in dribs and drabs. :)
Maybe wait until we get actual confirmation about an episode count before worrying? Unless it came from someone directly involved in a way that can be confirmed is legit I wouldn't freak too much just yet.
I say again, I really really hope you're wrong.

Definitely looking forward to next week.
It feels very relatable to me.

Thank you for the info, I won't expect it because I don't know how much they're adapting but it's nice to know that in some universe it happens.

/is waiting very very impatiently for Only Friends, and it shows
