I just dropped this train-wreck of a drama and started watching Qingchuan’s Veil of Vengeance. It's dark, poetic and no frills with a badass female lead.
First 5 episodes are top notch--well paced, exciting and you can feel the sexual tension with the push and pull between both the leads. After that...the drama just fell apart.
I dropped way back to binge watch later and reading comments only but things havent improved oh lord another LXY…
THANK YOU. I thought I was the only one who noticed this. AMAZING actor and alway seems to be the one carrying the show, but also always get casted in dramas with bad scripts.
The first 5 episodes of this drama were top notch then fell apart as soon as the village arc happened.
I have not enjoyed any of his dramas to its entirety where he is ML. Such an amazing and talented actor but all the ones he has been ML in has fell extremely short. I hope he catches a break and get better scripts.
Interesting cause I have the opposite opinion. I think this might be one of his best drama even script wise (…
I agree! All of his previous dramas and even A Moment But Forever was so hard to watch and complete for me personally. I am actually enjoying this one a lot at the moment.
Just finished ep4 and WOWZA!!! I love the witty dialogue, the push and pull and the chemistry is off the charts. This is by far my favorite Liu Hue Yi's drama. All of his other previous dramas were boring and draggy. I hope they continue the pacing and intrigue.
I disagree with you. The first two lives are wonderful. And the first life is simply a dream. The deity, the flower…
She has every right to disagree and like what she likes. With that being said, from what I have gathered--this person seem to be a die hard Liu Xueyi fan. So no matter if the drama he is starring is boring, dragging, poorly directed and scripted she will defend it. I understand the irritating part and it's funny because sometimes she's describing things as if it was quoted from a book or if she's the one writing the scenes.
I have not read the novel and am not quite finished the drama yet, but I feel the same way. It started great and…
Right??? This is what I had mentioned in my previous post--story started off well and had tons of potential but so far as it progresses it just fell flat. The whole spirit weapon stories I feel could have been better fleshed out or integrated more profoundly. I couldn't connect with the some of the side characters and the secondary couple was really boring and felt forced so I skipped most of their parts. And yes, I definitely agree--there's a lack of excitement in this drama. I know it's different than other xianxia but it's missing the charm and excitement.
