SML was a man child full of insecurities and a coward. He believed lies about FL without checking with her, he belittled her multiple times, mocked her for things that wasn't her fault, participated in humiliating her publicly when all she did was liking him and be good to him. On top of that , he never actually apologized to her even after knowing the truth, he left her on read on an important message that needed to be addressed all that while crying about the unfairness of life and LOW AND BEHOLD he blamed the FL for how she acted (like what??).
He's getting NO sympathy from me, he got what he deserved, he actively participated in making the FL feel miserable every time they met. I'm glad he ended up getting put in his place by FL in front of all the friend group and crying alone.
A lot of people can have misfortune in their life (literally look at ML) excuses can only get you so far .. SML acted like a jackass, he had plenty of occasions to make things better, he just decided that he was above that. His character gets hate because he acted like a pos towards the FL until the end, as simple as that. He never redeemed himself.

It's been a long time since I've seen YAMG but from what I remember at the very least Yu Tu doesn't spend his time belittling FL and participating in making her feel miserable.
Here the SML is a clear cause of FL's pain but he is too blind to recognize his fault and apologize, I can't believe this dumbass actually tried to blame FL in that ep 30 scene.
I'm happy he ended up all sad and crying in 4K for everyone to witness.

Some of what they do together reminds me of me my current long term partner so maybe it's more relatable ? the little gestures, the little awkwardness sometimes, the flirty jokes, the looks, the touches, the smiles .. it just actually feels like a fresh relationship.
About the SML we'll also disagree I guess, she just looks uncomfortable every time he's there (because he actually hurt her in the past) and then when she was worried about ML being possibly hurt she literally didn't notice the SML until later (he was basically an after thought) that's when you know she totally moved on (all he got was a little nod) .. ML is literally on her mind all the time. It's not really open to interpretation either, the character says it and we can see it, we also got her perspective, she also notices the change in her behavior towards ML and acknowledges it. The only thing left for SML is one last tantrum that she'll use to put him in his place once and for all.
It's interesting reading this kind of perspective though, it really shows how people can think way differently even while watching the same thing. Peace

It's normal to feel like people who are dating look like really great friends (you're supposed to, otherwise there is a problem, they're REALLY comfortable with each other)
"eyes of longing" towards the SML ?? What ?? She literally looks miserable every time she meets him (on the verge of crying because of what he put her through), compare her eyes when she's with ML vs when she meets SML, it's night and day, SML = doom and gloom while ML = safe space and happiness.
It's always fascinating to me when people watch the same content but see totally different things , I guess the human brain works differently for different people.
For me there is chemistry from the moment they start becoming friends, all the little gestures, the looks, it's 2 people who are also learning what real companionship is like .. it's obvious they want each other even before they start dating. And when they start dating they up it up a notch too with more skin ship.

I guess we must have different meaning of love but that's not how you treat someone you "clearly like", it doesn't matter what relationship he has with Rong, he had plenty of occasions to make things better with FL but he decided he was above that, he took FL for granted and he'll regret it. At the very least he should treat her with respect, which he doesn't and he won't learn his lesson either for a LONG time which makes it worse.
"To Love" isn't just a feeling, it's a verb, it's actions, what you do towards the person matter a LOT .. SML never really "loved" FL

That's the thing though, he doesn't hate Rong .. In fact he'll stay close to her for a long time which is why he can't claim the world or FL being unfair to him.. he's a coward and a crybaby full of insecurities. I'll spoil you right now, he won't get that much better either.

You can see it in her actions, her smile, her eyes, it's pretty obvious too. She already likes him, she just doesn't realize it yet. This just proves how much of a fierce lover she'll be when they start dating lmao
