The people hating on drama ver FL will literally eat alive novel ver FL, she is way colder in the novel. And saying she is "bitchy, slut"?? what the hell are you guys even talking about. And it's not like she is completely Gu Qingzhi or Shen Xihe; she is whole new persona with 50/50 of their memory. Gu Qingzhi always knew that Gu family will be downhill, so she always had that cold dementor and NEVER LOVED Prince Xin, only respected him as her husband. While Shen Xihe grew up in Northwest without mother and her father, brother was always away for war. So, she had no experience of love between two people and feminine love feelings. (little fact: also, she has read some romance novel that made her feel like love was fake). Like Gu family the emperor also always wanted to take over Northwest from her father, so of course her biggest priority was her family and northwest, not some love! After going through many things with Huayong she finally had fallen love with him. He was GENUINE LOVE of her life. Saying she is slut just because she grabbed Prince Xin when he was dying lol. She just told him a fact that she had a Gu Qingzhi's soul on her to ease him in the death. What can a DYING PRINCE do to her? So i didn’t fully watched the movie but just finished the novel and i would say it is VERY different😃😃😃The drama doesn’t seem like a adaptation more like a whole different thing with just same characters name
Just finished the novel and i hope some plots will change in movie especially that emperor and duke’s wife plot because it was soo dumb and unnecessary, late crown prince’s son chu rui parts too, and ML missing…. Ugh first half was reallllly good but after their marriage i hoped it will become more good but it turned down.
But seeing that Ml and FL riding horse and doing archery just gave me hope because it didn’t happened in novel🙏🏻🙏🏻
