I agree. Its not sad, but because its pretty realistic.. the pain, the situation they are in, the people portrayed. Death, trauma,healing and romance. It is not just a mere drama but more of a biography/documentary.

i randomly clicked on this drama special.. The chemistry between the leads was great since the beginning. And the moment when I saw jin young in the screen in a "second lead way of appearance" , I instantly knew that I would be happy whoever Hyerim (Chae Soobin) chooses. i really enjoyed 1988 even though it has a very huge age gap but my younger sister(5 years younger than me) just could not enjoy much because of the huger age gap. well, im just speaking for the younger ones :)
