You should try venturing more on jdoramas. I find jdoramas hit it close to home when it comes to emotions and slice of life. It just hits you in the "kokoro" 😊
This reminds me of the genius chemistry of dad and daughter of 18 again. They were fun to watch but mainly because he was protective of her, yet, in here, he care less about her. But maybe he will change? I've read that he will eventually give her the company. :) Let's see how this will play out.

Mijung, mr. Gu and the members of my liberation notes club did not talk much, but the 2 siblings were definitely a chatterbox. They talk a hefty amount. And I can remember pointing out in the comment section that the episode feel short because there are less change of scene and more on conversations back and forth and monologues. I lost track of time and there are times that I am shocked that I am in the near end of an episode, it seems like nothing much is going on because they are in the same setting for so long.
And yeah, i think there are differences. HDM was more intense because we see his desperation. Other themes like grief and depression and abandonment were also touched in the series. Unlike changhee who just chats away his frustration. He had his share of insecurities but he was better liked in the society. He has a job that he is good at, shop owners became hus good friend, he is liked by his colleagues. So yep, i think I would more likely to recommend My liberation notes too than we're all trying here. 😀

I agree. HDM talks due to anxiety. Changhee talks from observation, thus more perceptive. He is my favorite character in that series. I can listen to him talk for hours. I rewatch MLN, just to watch his scenes. Hehehe
