"Most of the laws that increased every year was created to accommodate appeals of the less powerful. It's a history…
protect yourself by speaking up.
A summary of what this drama's message is all about :D
"Most of the laws that increased every year was created to accommodate appeals of the less powerful. It's a history of those who speak up. Whether it's the weak or the powerful, it is a needful rule for them to live equally in the same world. I think that is what laws are made for."

Gaaaah, I really loved this!
from the different case each episode to the character developments of our main leads.
From the familial dynamics it portrayed to the life encouragement it uttered.
Thankful always for the subbers who really took time to translate it faithfully from the original nihongo language

I agree, they should have given more importance to the present which they unfortunately did not.
The last episodes were truly a tease. I mean, I was very much convinced during the tunnel scene with their dialogue that it was a best that they parted ways. I would be satisfied if it ended there. But no, they changed their portrayal of the present Hee Do that, she did not in fact, moved on. I was not curious who is the dad if it was not YiJin or any of the past characters. But they should have been consistent in portraying Hee Do as the strong woman who is able to move forward with her choices.
Realistic, yes, but I don't usually want that in my drama.

The set up and feel were kind of similar but so different in execution. Which did you like better?

waaaah, did not expect to rewatch this and binge it till the end. Thank you netflix for bringing this gem. I grew up in this kind of stories and media. I am already in my late 20's and highschool setting do not appeal me anymore, but this is just a gem that I rewatched it and finished it in one go :P
