I really liked this drama. It's the type of series where you're always waiting for the next episode, you're so interested in the story. I wasn't bored once while watching it. The ending was left open, which is always confusing for me, I prefer an obvious happy ending.

That provided about as much tension as a pulley made of marshmallows.
Yes, something like that...

In the end, it just left me with a disturbing feeling, which was very annoying before the last part...

This part was very frustrating because it's full of mistakes made by the police. I understand the need for tension, but why did the police have to make so many mistakes? It was annoying. The last part should come quickly to resolve this annoying feeling...

I don't need help, I'm just not into childish or intrigue-filled stories. Those also require a certain mental attitude.. What I gathered from your answer is that you didn't understand anything I wrote. So, people who find these things interesting and don't run to the corner crying when they see such a story, then there's something wrong with them, right? Then you've qualified a lot of people with that opinion. Accept that not everyone likes or finds the same topics interesting.

Movies and series are fiction and sometimes have nothing to do with reality. That's exactly why we watch them, to disconnect from real life. If something is normalized in movies that is much worse in real life, it's because we want things to always end with a happy ending. That's what human fantasy is for. There's Stockholm syndrome, for example. How nice it would be if the abuser eventually changed and became a devoted, loyal, and protective partner... I have a much harder time dealing with stories woven with intrigue, because they smell very real. Of course, in many cases there may not be physical violence in such stories, but there is mental, emotional, and psychological violence. I don't think it's any less bad than physical violence. These things are no better than when someone gets Stockholm syndrome because of a violent person. Now, if there weren't any threads in movies that would fall into the abnormal category, people would watch few movies and series. Not everyone likes light, girly-romance stories because they find them boring. That also means breaking away from reality, just in a different way than when toxic relationships are brought to the screen. So that's why I think everyone should watch a story that they can stomach. What might be too much for you, is interesting for someone else and they won't fall asleep to it.

This seems kinda weird. Are they really gonna romanticize SA, locking up your own partner and Non-con moments…
You can simply avoid series with more violent scenes. You don't have to watch them. If you don't mind this kind of series, watch it, it's that simple. Some people like series like girls' novels, some like those full of intrigue. Some people like series that others can't stomach. Everyone should watch what suits them, right?

I find it interesting that many commenters strongly object to the violent scenes between Jorn and Chain.. But then this story is in the novel (in a much rougher form). If they always only worked on syrupy, dripping emotional dramas in such series, it would be very boring. If someone is disgusted by such scenes, they should simply not watch it and that's it. The actors playing the main roles looked very good. However, it is certain that 6 episodes were not enough to develop the plots....

I really liked the drama! The actors, the story, everything. I'm glad I watched it because of the actors' acting and the visuals. I was waiting for the next one at the end of each episode, the story was exciting.

You have to read the novel. The series doesn't follow the original story in every way, which is okay because it…
I didn't know that. It's interesting that this is the order. Although the situation is the same, the two stories don't completely overlap. This is especially true after episode 10. I think the story of the series is more exciting and twisty than the novel.

It's interesting that you think so. I think Dunk is very good in this series. The role suits him and he finally…
Everyone decides for themselves what they like and what they don't. So if you don't like Dunk's performance, then obviously you don't have to watch it. I like it, as do many others. I like a movie to be entertaining and relaxing. I don't expect the same things from a BL as I do from an artistically serious work. If I wanted to see that, I would watch something else. Even so, I'm surprised that BLs are getting more and more exciting and of higher quality (Of course, not all of them are...). We're not all the same, but not everyone has to see things the same way.

Obviously, people in normal life express their feelings in some way (except for the person who doesn't. I've met a few like that in my life). I still think that Dunk changes his tone in this series in the given situations. His performance may not be Oscar-winning, but he plays the role of Style in a very entertaining way. If it weren't, not many people would like him. I think it's never enough to just look good, actors need something more to really like them. Of course, profit is the main thing for film companies, that's what this industry is all about. That's why they can't afford to hire actors who are not recognized by the audience. Dunk can still improve in his work (just like anyone can improve in the work they do) but they already like him, that says something. He's not untalented. Appearance in today's world is no longer enough to like an actor. So there must be a reason why Dunk has so many fans. We can analyze his performance professionally, but at the end of the day, what really matters is whether the audience liked the way an actor performed or not.

Maybe one more thing is interesting to me. You wrote that "I can't even blame the director atp cuz I've dropped every single show he's been in." So how do you know how he plays his role? It's hard to observe someone without looking at them...

It's interesting that many of us see this quite differently. I don't think his speech is monotonous at all. He changes his tone of voice very often in the series, precisely because of his role. You can't play a slightly annoying, hyperactive role in a monotonous voice anyway. He might use a slightly monotonous tone of voice in his normal speech, but there are a lot of people like that in life. A film has to reflect real life, and not everyone uses so many facial expressions and changing tones of voice. Sometimes it's rather annoying when actors use these abundantly in their roles even when it's not justified. The overplayed role is also annoying and often awkward. I think Dunk plays the role of Style believably and they look particularly good with his partner. I wrote in my previous comment that Style's character hides his feelings behind his funny, slightly childish behavior. This also exists in real life. Not every person shows other people how they are feeling. That makes them still a living, real person, they just don't show what they really feel. It also annoys me when everyone in a movie is struggling with their emotions and showing them. It doesn't matter if Dunk doesn't show much emotional reaction because he can't act them or because his role is written that way. I read the novel and Style isn't an emotionally overheated character there either. Of course, because the writer gives us a glimpse into his head, we see a little better what's going on inside him. So in my opinion, it's good that Dunk was cast in the role. He and Joong look really good together.

Then at least you'll be surprised by the ending of the story. I already have a hunch that the series will end :)

I think they portray Styl's character as someone who is funny and covers up his true feelings. He's a little childish but not stupid. The open eyes suggest to me that he himself is surprised that Fadel accepts him.

I think so many people enjoy this series because it's really good. The story is good and the actors are good too.

I absolutely agree! I can't wait for the new episode every week. It's a very entertaining series, with good actors. I wasn't bored with a single episode.

anyone else get the feeling this is not going to end well?
You have to read the novel. The series doesn't follow the original story in every way, which is okay because it makes the story much more twisty. I wouldn't call the ending of the novel a happy ending or a bad one... The series probably won't change that much either. We'll see.

I don't know if I can finish this solely bc I can not stand Dunk's acting. I really don't know how anyone buys…
It's interesting that you think so. I think Dunk is very good in this series. The role suits him and he finally has a different character than the ones he's played before. What I like about him is that he doesn't overplay his role, he plays the cute and annoying guy well. He's especially good in this series.
