Whatever happened, I hate that Damn "40 eps per Drama" law imposed by the Chinese govt. It makes no sense at all. That is the main reason for this to have only 59 eps. 😓

Because when Youku announced part two Doban showed 40 eps for it. It sounds believable because they have internal resources. So I think part two was originally planned for 40 eps.
