was it really that long though? the cupcake thing with Hashimoto was valentines day and the story started in the…
6 months in drama world is pretty long hahah even non-high school dramas.
well it does seem it wasn't deep love, which confused me at first, Aoki said Goodbye my first love in ep 1 and I was like ???? why so fast my dude??expose the drama spill the tea I'm ready!
It probably was a crush and as the girl herself pointed out how quickly he got over her & wasn't really upset…
I agree with you about crush vs love, it's what I think too.
my first comment was just my reaction to the first episodes, I'm not deep in the story yet.
Hatsukoi means first love, I think the closest translation that makes sense in english would be 'Gone, My First Love' but I like yours better cuz it seems closer to the story.
maybe the japanese definition of love vs crush is different to ours.
Well he knew she liked someone else so of course he didn't confess to her he knew he would get rejected. And that's…
I thought it's a Bi drama, didn't read the manga and just watch the first eps of the drama, so I don't know the story in depth, my first comment was just my first impression.
I don't agree with you that confessing to someone knowing they like someone else is selfish, that's invalidating ones feelings, the confessed to should respect that feeling and you can still be friends, imo not confessing leaves lingering regret.
it's Kieta Hatsukoi, the japanese title is the right one, anyways that's not the point, the title means Hashimoto was his first love.
I can tell he likes Ida and will like Ida but as I said earlier that was my first impression.

it doesn't matter if she likes someone, even if he knows she might reject him, it's delivering your feelings that's important, like when he confessed to her that he might like Ida, knowing she likes him.
that's the thing, he really did like her in the beginning seeing how far he went to cover for her, Aoki said "Goodbye my first love" (which is basically the title) but he gave up too easily without really trying..
this's a good slice of life story however, if u binge watch it, u'll feel the slow pace. I'm happy my ship sailed (even tho during the early episodes I was on Junghwan's team)
I'm gonna point what I didn't like about this drama: 1. how they downplayed Junghwan's character halfway through the drama 2. Deuksun chemistry with Taek after becoming a couple wasn't good. 3. last episodes focus a lot on Bora and Sunwoo 4. the awkward relationship between Eunseo (flight attendant) and Mr Yoo (Taek's entourage) 5. and the most annoying thing is... we don't get an after story!!! did Junghwan move on and started a relationship? what about Dongryong? her other friend? Jinju? Noeul? and how was the neighbourhood's life after moving out , did Taek's dad end up investing with samsung or followed Deoksun's dad advice? what's everyone's financial situation did their life changed? I wanted to know more about the others...
I left this drama onhold for too long gosh and understand why! it gets boring towards the middle (I felt the same way when I read the webtoon years ago before the drama), at first I liked Eun Dan Oh's character and enjoyed the drama but then she's meh cliché, not following her goals always Haru Haru ughh she doesn't even try to help her best friend Saemi not to become a villain altho she stated in shadow she doesn't know why she bullies Juda, and many things.
In the drama my favourite character was Baek Kyung I feel there was some development and his acting was the best! altho I didn't like his personality, but I hated how they made him a lonely character... and why do Haru and Eun Dan Oh judge Baek Kyung on things he did in stage? as they said it's the writer's doing. I remember how I hated Baek Kyung in the webtoon.. kidos to Jaewook for making him likeable.
and why's Haru's character so... lame? he has nothing to him but liking Eun Dan Oh and she doesn't know ANYTHING about him! I get why he was made that way bcz he's an "extra" but aren't they supposed to change their fate?
this drama left me with so many questions unanswered.

the original title is the true one, others are just translations/interpretations.
to me confessing then moving on, is better, makes moving on easier and clears any misunderstandings, I don't see it as being selfish.
ahh that makes sense.. 10 eps is too short for a detail story.
I'll pick it up again sometime in the future since I got spoiled haha I want to forget the story a bit

in the story, the singer suppose to deliver emotions through her singing but I felt she lacked it
