I really liked the female lead's acting (Sohye), her expressions are really adorable.
The settings is light, fluffy, retro-ish vibe~ which I really like.
The story and the female lead's situation is very relatable to me, so that's why I gave it a 10/10, but I'm sure others will enjoy it too.

Cliché but I couldn't drop it??
This drama would've been awesome if it was released in the early 2000sthe story is predictable, believe me when I tell you they literally used every kdrama and shoujo manga cliché here!
it's not for someone who watched many Kdramas but a good start for newbies I guess.
I feel this drama didn't focus on its message "True Beauty" it was just another love triangle story 🤷🏻♀️
I expected to see more things about make-up and the beauty of the inner self but it was mostly about 'a person without makeup (ugly?) ending up with a natural hottie' and that's the relationship of 99% of the characters!
and don't get me started about the acting! tbf idk if it's the directors fault or the nature of the story that made it this way.. the acting was.... stiff? especially Eunwoo's (sorry Eunwoo fans..) most parts felt forced, I didn't feel the chemistry between the leads.. 😔
tbh it's the side characters that made the drama a bit interesting but oh god they were all lamb sacrifices for the plot between the female lead and male lead!
If you read my review you this far, I bet you're wondering if I'm more on the negative side of this drama WHY did I bother to finish it?? I have one word for you dear MDLs... 🥁
HWANG IN YEOP!!!
he was the saving grace of this drama and kept me going! he's EYES! he's CHARISMA! he's acting SKILLS! he stole the show along with my heart! this's why I gave "Acting" a generous 9/10
trust me it's not just me who think this I'm not being biased at all! for me this drama was worth watching for Hwang In Yeop so I'll recommend it, if you wanna be charmed away and suffer major 2nd lead syndrome!
OSTs? I don't even remember them lol was there any other than "Missing You"? I loved that one

Only worth watching for the cast
They could've wrapped it up in 10 eps or the classic 16 eps max! This was boring and the romance between the main leads was dull.
The cast is amazing and it's the only reason I finished it.
The other fls outshined the main fl, they carried the show more than the fl especially Kim So Eun's characters, her role was the most complex yet she shined in just a few parts, I wish she was the fl, that would've been interesting and I preferred Sung Yeol's chemistry with Myung Ee.
It would've been better without the main romance because I felt it diluted Sung Yeol's character, the romance was repetitive and predictable, even tho there was a lot of kiss scenes, it all felt the same.
I'm writing about the character not the actress, the story would've been fine without the fl.. the plot tried to give her importance but she just felt like a filler.
It's sad because Lee Joon Gi did such an amazing job, his acting was top notch especially when he was dealing with his inner turmoil.
And don't get me started on Lee Soo Hyuk! literally the perfect vampire you could ever find! acting, visuals, voice, charisma.. you name it!! If I ever rewatch this I just want a compilation of his parts!
The drama started off promising but it dragged with some problems that could've easily been solved with a simple solution but they complicated it even for fiction, the osts were not impressive and the ending was anticlimactic.
Trigger warning this drama shows a lot of blood so if you don't like seeing it don't watch this. it's tagged as horror in streaming sites but as someone who doesn't like this genre this was very tame.. just a lot of blood and vampires.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend it, unless you like the casts or want to look at pretty girls and handsome vampires.

Bittersweet
I rarely find good mini kdrama series, thankfully this one was well executed. The story is actually 9 eps, ep 10 is a collection of the animated parts.
While I wasn't a huge fan of the animation, I think it added a nice touch, it represents the mental health of the patient. The animation loosely reminded me of Saint-Exupéry's The Little Prince and the story's concept of the 1978 film The Water Babies.
Particularly, I loved Kim Ji Soo's acting he did a fabulous job portraying a terminally ill patient, it almost felt real, he was that good.
Despite the animation, this was a realistic story and a tearjerker, I believe many people can relate to this, one way or another.
I watched this on kocowa so the OSTs aren't translated but I think you'd appreciate them better with subs.
It's 100% a family friendly series so you can watch it with others or in public, no problem.
I recommend it to anyone whether they're a kdrama fan or not, give it a go at least once.

However, everything is purely comical, nothing sexual, with sprinkles of romance here and there. It's more of a comedy than a romance. A light watch, I recommend it.
But just be ware there was 1 problematic part which lasted about 1 second, I don't know why they felt the need to add that part which was unfunny and unnecessary, the episode would've been much better without it.
I scored the music low because there wasn't anything outstanding, however I liked there wasn't any spoilers in the opening (that's a first in cdrama lol)
I gave Acting 6/10 because of the child actor haha I loved his "side-eye glare" you'll know what I mean once you watch it.
It's called 'Prince Consort, Please Advice' on Viki and it's 12 Eps, the duration of the eps varies around 12 - 19 mins with only ep 9 & 12 about 25 - 29 mins.
It was announced there'll be a season 2.

Feeling down? watch this drama!
If I could describe the vibes of this drama it's like a childhood memory of a summer holiday or if this was a perfume it'd be Gucci Flora Gorgeous Orchid, bright and warm. This series is a semi-biography of the author Akiko Higashimura and a promo of her birth city Miyazaki, it was made in such a fun and sweet way so it's especially a good idea to watch if you plan to visit Japan.
Despite it being a very short drama (each ep is less than 15 mins) I already felt attached to the characters, each character has their own quirks and they're all lovable.
However, if you're not familiar with Japanese humour you might find this kind of odd or her father a bit annoying.
These types of shows can easily have cringe acting but this wasn't the case, they did a good delivery.
The characters are obviously exaggerated for comical purposes but they can be relatable, you might know someone like them, I sure did! lol
While watching the drama, I could feel the author's love for the people around her especially her father and the way she accepts them for who they are and her appreciation for the city she grew up in.
I was smiling throughout the show and almost teared up in some parts because it was so sweet especially the ending.
I'm rating this high because I rarely feel all of this for such a very short drama.
The ost is cute and fits the story and the featured songs in the show I'm familiar with. Ikimonogatari? Seiko? c'mon 8/10
Would definitely recommend this.

I almost never got to praise a kdrama production, this one is an exception! it was beautifully made, visually it felt like a movie and the vibes reminded me of old anime films like Rail Of The Star.
As suggested in the tags this is a heavily female centred cast so if you're looking for an oppa or ahjussi, this isn't for you.
However, the actresses really did an amazing job portraying masculine roles! I'm pretty sure they could pass as a kpop boy group member lol especially Okmyeong.
I wasn't familiar with Gukgeuk and I'm surprised Korea didn't flaunt this until now unlike Takarazuka Revue which I was well aware of. The Pansori singing was so beautiful and I'm amazed to learn Kim Tae Ri sang it herself! Wow! on Disney+ the osts were translated.
If you like fashion this one was pleasant, it wasn't like a costume party, it was very subtle and fitting of the time period. I couldn't stop thinking about the white hanbok with the veil wedding dress! I'm shocked Koreans don't wear it today, it's so pretty!
The story is quite straightforward and focuses a lot on Pansori and Gukgeuk, this repetition can make it a bit boring sometimes and despite the great production, this made the scenery limited to the same places, noticeably towards the end.
Unusual of a Kdrama of this time period, it was not political at all!
The drama is short but I believe some parts would've been better condensed, allowing other important parts to flesh out while still sticking to 12 eps.
I didn't like how the characters exited the story, it was anticlimactic but oddly felt realistic. The timing for character development was sometimes a bit off but that could be because it's a short drama. Also the antagonists were not well written, they didn't leave an impact, which some people might like but also can contribute to the boredom for others.
The OP was really cute and matched the story.
Despite the original webtoon, this is not a girls love, a few parts alluded to it but that's about it.
Overall, I recommend it if you want to watch a non-political time period drama with cute friendships and want to listen to Pansori and learn a bit about Gukgeuk.

I like the concept and the acting was alright
I just didn't like the characters or the story
it was very immature
even tho I'm someone who likes reading this type of genre, it was a bit too much
so it's not for everyone but it's ok to watch since it's very short
btw the ml kinda looked like cha eunwoo lol no?

Not so bad
The concept is interesting and a fun watch. The best thing about this season is, they guest role big name actors and the fact Ha Ji Won plays as her self, she even parodies in roles she starred in which was an interesting touch. I like the fact they used the usual supporting cast of other kdramas as facilitators and the typical gangster boss Manshik like in Iris lol
I agree with the comments which said Claire was a bit annoying this season, her reactions are constantly the same and a bit hyped or loud? I guess it's the western style, compared to the subtle korean acting, the contrast was evident. Also I noticed her and Evan made a few line mistakes.
S1 was simple and straight forward, the storyline relied on makjang, romcom and a bit of sageuk, think Pasta or My Lovely Kim Samsoon.
However, S2 was the opposite, a bit complex with plot twists, the story line was inspired by fantasy and crime kdramas like Tale of the Nine Tailed and Signal/Life on Mars.
I would've rated S2 higher if not for that ending, it's a cliffhanger and as of 2025 there's no news of a S3 season.
Overall, I would recommend it to kdrama fans only.

but I was pleasantly surprised it was psychological! I almost thought it's a jdrama! something like Switch.
It was intriguing in the earlier episodes,
however, later it starts to lose it's charm...
It lacked character relationship development, their relationships felt flat... sometimes confusing too .. (I won't get into detail to avoid spoilers)
maybe it would've been better if it was longer. tbh some parts didn't make sense but I was ok with that cuz whatever
Although I found Koo Ae Jin a little annoying because I don't tend to like weak and negatively stubborn female leads but I liked how she portrayed a realistic character, she didn't morph into a popular girl just bcz a handsome guy entered her life like in some other dramas *rolls eyes*
The actors did a good job however in the later eps some acting parts were a bit cringe, I think that's the direction to blame..
Despite everything I was excited for new episodes which is quite rare of me since if I don't like a drama I immediately drop it (more like exile it to the On-hold list to feel less bad harshly dropping it)
My favourite character was Jisung, I'm upset they barely gave him screentime :(
All in all, I recommend it, I really liked the moral ending of the story. so don't worry it's not a toxic beauty show.
(btw I rate music low if I don't remember the song.. I'm sorry to the artists maybe I was too focused on the story)

It's a fun drama, I enjoyed every episode!
loved the characters especially the old guy Lee Man-sik!
However, since ep 10 the drama has confused me! I was like ??? did I skip some episodes? what's going on?? eh out of NOWHERE??? kind of reactions.
Since ep 10 I felt like they changed the director or maybe they were suddenly told to reduce the episodes.. it was rushed! but you know what? I liked it because sometimes I get tired of dragging details.
Don't watch this if you're expecting romance, it's there but not the spotlight, actually the romance plot was quite interesting because it kept me thinking WHO'LL END WITH WHO lol (I commented the details in discussion if you want spoilers)
It dodged the cliché shots but at the same time it missed a few bullets (no korean director can escape the cliché tropes, it's ingrained in the hallyu industry)
I recommend you to watch Kkondae Intern, however, don't take it seriously, enjoy with a light heart.

The acting was actually pretty good, the female lead is such a princess and Yu Yang Yang (the antagonist girl) managed to piss me off. Male leads are good-looking too, one is a prince and the other is a knight type of character and they too acted good especially for me the 2nd male lead but not as good as the female characters did in this drama.
The osts were an ok because one ost felt too much like the singer was trying to copy Britney Spears and another ost was identical to a Korean drama ost, can't remember which, maybe it's a Chinese version of the Korean one, I don't know.
One thing I liked about this drama is the little parodies they add.
All in all it's an okay drama, I finished it because it just has 16 eps and I also wanted to check the 2017 drama Dear Prince which has the female lead and Yu Yang Yang from this drama My Little Princess.

like the lead girl was dreaming some princessy dream and wakes up to reality.. something like that.
But oh boy it kept going on and on... I'm like damn this's the actual story.
Everything is cliché, cringe and awkward. The female lead acting is ugh just no too bad, I guess she was trying to be like a moe anime character.
I couldn't even finish episode 1.
It's a 2017 drama yet it seems so old!
So disappointed thought this would be something similar to Hana Yori Dango.
