Much more than romance

This is my first time reviewing but I hope my rating scale is well-fitted.

I started this drama with no bigger expectations thinking, that it's just a short comedy series. I've heard some average opinions about it so i didn't rush to watch it immediately when it came out. But finally, I watched it in 2 days with my sister just for Cha Woo Min. Oh lord, what I've been missing for all this time.

It turned out to be a really surprising story about people holding on to their past. Psychological and emotionally touching series sneaking a simple message- everyone desires reliance.

This series shows how we subconsciously lead our lifes based on past traumas, guilt and unfilled desires. Romance is what connects all the threads that stands for the actual values Melo Movie represents. What is love? What is happiness? What is relationship?

The acting is really good. You can laugh then cry looking at different performances of the same actors. The pacing is moderate but it suits the story and can keep you entertained for the whole time. The OST didn't really catch my attention, so it was neither bad or excellent- just indistinctive.

With every scene I hoped to see more Cha Woo Min character, instead I got to observe the story of 2nd leads, which was also entertaining but to this moment I feel like I don't get to fully understand the FML and the way she acts.

To sum up, this series can surprise you in many ways in the most positively-way-sad aspect. I highly recommend it to everyone that are searching for purpose in life and love, or are dealing with it's lack in their lifes. Melo Movie might give you some answers.
