For manga readers who saw EP6's preview and are worried because it looks like they skipped the entirety of Cases 5 and 6, don't worry, they didn't! Having read YukiNao's interviews, they've discussed what it was like filming some scenes from that arc (e.g. the attic scene and Minato jumping into Shizuma's arms), so those scenes were just pushed to the later episodes, not completely removed.

Of course! Also, just wanted to add that the actors themselves have read the manga, and the team did refer to the manga itself while filming to sort out the camera angles etc, so they definitely tried to be faithful to the work whenever possible !!

In fact, even the members of each of their boy groups + the CEO of Naoya's (Minato) agency have all read either the manga or the script to write the lyrics of the opening and ending theme song too lol

As you mentioned in another reply, the mangaka's opinion matters most, so I think you'll be interested in checking out the secondary Twitter account (@hnhr_kkr) she opened just to ramble about the Live Action!

As someone who's also read the manga and loved it, I agree that there's been a lot of changes so far, and will have even more drastic changes as EP4 and EP5's preview indicate, but Hinohara-sensei has given nothing but postive comments about it so you can rest assured in that aspect.

I get the disappointment seeing some details of the characters and story changed when you loved it in the original work, but some details just don't translate so well when played out in live action, and there's also the aspect of the LA team having to incorporate Secret XXX and Therapy Game into one. So while I personally love the changes made so far, you'd definitely benefit from seeing this one as a stand-alone work I feel :)

FYI since you seemed to be curious, the scene the author mentioned "the manga should have done it like this" was the one where Yuka breaks up with Shizuma

his name is hayato, from a jpop group called XY! i think this is his first tv drama so he doesn't have an MDL page yet

I'll have to spoil it for you to kind of make sense of it since this detail was intentionally left out to mislead the audience in the beginning, but according to the manga, they didn't actually sleep together because Shizuma passed out— hence why Minato probably doesn't feel guilty, since they didn't do anything past what we saw in EP1.

Minato is someone who puts his guard up around everyone, and Shizuma was the one person other than his brother he's ever been vulnerable around. So, he's actually more mad about the fact that Shizuma forgot that part of the night where he made Minato let his guard down, and then went on to tell him that he'd be alone his whole life, rather than the fact that he forgot that they "slept" together.

Kiyoi wants to work with a director he looks up to, but he keeps getting rejected because said director states that his good looks restrict him, so Kiyoi gains 20kg for the role. He doesn't want Hira to see how "ugly" he is like that, so he separates with Hira for the duration of the role.

They're set in the same world! All of them are works under the same drama timeslot called "z-drama" and targeted at Gen Zs. The works in order are as follows:

3) Yarinaoshitai First Kiss (2022)
4) Numaru Minato-ku Joshikosei (2023)
5) Love Death Match (2023)

Nakagawa Daisuke's character is from the first installment too, and the two airing this year are set about 1-2 years after the three in 2022.
