The comment section is for everyone who watched/ is watching the drama not just fans. It would be a boring world…
To speak with property or because you support/enjoy the actors or because the manhwa, etc. There are more than one reason to watch something that have some things you don't like.
It'd be better if we all just respect other opinions and let everybody speak about the drama even if our opinion is different. This comment section is for all users, like Ari_Lee said.
And honestly, I like to read diferents opinions when I want to start a drama.
it was no plot twist at all... Taek was always special for her.
I disagree about "almost everyone" I was no shipper at all, but my friends were 50% and 50%. I liked more Sunwoo-Bora romance and family/friendly plot so I didn't care about main couple(s) anyway I cared about all characters.
Thing is from the start to the end Taek was the only one special for her. We focus only on males but the important one is Deoksun. She is a girl with a lot of insecurities and whimsical. She always needs to feel loved. She always thought her family didn't care about her, so when she start to think about romance she only wants to be loved, she didn't try to understand what was her feelings at all.
She read romantic teen novels, all she knows about romance is from there. Then their friends tell her Sunwoo likes her, so she focus on him. When she is rejected her friends meet Junhwan and tell her he likes her. Then she starts to focus on him. She never gets to like someone in a romantic way by herself, at least at first. Her friends always asked her to meet Taek and she didn't want them to meet him (why?). What if they meet Taek at same time than they meet Junghwan? What if they tell her both love her? What would she choose?
Show gave us more romantic scenes with Junghwan but that's not the point. Point is Deoksun, we have to understand her. That's why I don't feel the plot twist.
I'm actually quite disappointed with this drama, everyone said it was great but I felt so bored some times..And…
she was only learning about love. She read books but never experienced it, or didn't know what she feel. She loved Taek since the start but to realise that she had to learn by herself about love and what type of love she has towards him. In fact, the books she reads tell about her current love situation lol.
We focus more on males, but the point is to understand her! She is a very insecure girl, that always thought she is not important in her family and for anyone. She has the need to feel loved all the time. So when she starts to focus about love, she doesn't care at all about what she feels.. she just wanna experience love and feel loved. Since the start to the end the only special one for her was Taek. She even tried not to introduce her friends to Taek lmao.
So.. we can have our favorite...but if we don't understand her character we wont understand why she ended with Taek.
I honestly think this drama is silly and pointless but I don't know why do I keep watching it lol
I like it because of this silly and pointless aspect. I can enjoy it in a relaxing way, it's not a pretentious drama and it has a unique atmosphere and story. I really love to ship the characters, and we have a lot of couples to ship. *-*
And I don't like Rain (lol, I felt I need to say it, sorry)
I don't understand why people comment this drama is bad. I'm liking this very much and it's really hard to get…
The problem for me is that solider theme is only an uniform, and the same happens to the medical theme. They are poorly done, the writer is only focused on the romance between the leads.
As a pre-recorded drama I was expecting more. They had everything to create an amazing drama.. and it's just another romantic drama without plot...
The bad guy is just ignored and so many things are happening without being linked.. I dunno.. that's my opinion and that's why I can't continue watching it. Maybe I'll try to watch it again in a few months.
Very worried about this. On one hand such good reviews, on the other hand, the only thriller that has every surpassed…
I think it's worth watching. I'd like to be more mysterious, it's a little bit predictable, at least the cases from episode 1 to 10. But the episodes are well executed and you can feel the suspense even when you know what's going to happen.
The acting and the music are good. I must say this is not the typical highly rated Korean drama.
Can someone explain me the plot? Not the romance plot.
I want to understand why they are in Uruk and not in an other country. I also don't understand the plot of the bad guy and now the earthquake thing... what is this drama about?
I'm lost, I don't really know what I'm watching, I hope you can explain me what's happening. Maybe I missed something... '-'
I really want to ask the writer on how they thought of the story and how it was planned. I get a lot of comments…
I think the writer planed all the series at the same time... There is a scene in R97 and it's like a hint about R88. http://i65.tinypic.com/2j3mtxg.jpg Also in R94 they spoke about a girl who seems to be Bora. I'm sure she gave us hints for the next Reply in R88 *-*
3 - Bogum in his last fan-meeting said he was picked like Hyeri. He got a call from a PD, so he didn't auditioned like the rest of the cast.
4 - The 2015-2016 husband hints (since episode 2) pointed all to Taek. Only one pointed to JH but they solve it in episode 20 (the husband knew DS had a crush on SW, JH knew it and Taek knew it when DS was about to erase one page of her diary).
I didn't read anything from the writers.. I don't think they will explain anything, but let's see..
I've read a lot of theories... like the meaning of the name "Taek" but we can't believe them 100%.
I just have one thing to say about Taek being Deok Seon's husband: Life is unfair
Maybe it's not so obvious (?)
Maybe it's a coincidence or maybe not... But look, this is from Reply 1997... Look the dialogue and where they put the ramen. http://i65.tinypic.com/2j3mtxg.jpg
Anyway, I recommend you to watch 2015 husband parts... I mean, the clues point to Taek: Left-handed, smoking, speaking formally to Noeul, comics, when Noeul appears they talk about something that Taek, DS and Noeul talked in 1988... We can think it's JH for the personality, but compared with the clues it's so vague... The only clue had JH was that he knew about DS liked SW, but in the last episode they solve it.
yankumicho 1 seconds ago I am pretty sure the ending of Reply 1988 is going to wreck friendships on here. People…
Yes, I think the same. They can't be fans... How can you hate the whole world created by the writer only when there is one thing you didn't like.. I mean most of those people only LOVE one chaaracter (thanks writer) and he grew a lot, he seems happy (unlike CB he had more episodes to be in peace).
Okay....so....here's the thing that really upsets me the most overall. Not because there's a huge possibility…
kpopx3lover these are the hint's I've found.
Objective hint:
- 2015 husband smokes
- 2015 husband seems to be lefthanded and Taek use often his left hand.
Subjective hints (maybe it's a coincidence or maybe it was done like this intentionally):
- Taek's introduction (how they met him + DS helping him when they were child) and husband's introduction on the same episode.
- DS's parents wanted him to get married with DS.
- DS tells Taek to dring milk so he can grow and marry her.
Very subjective (some theories I've read from DS-TK shippers... some of them are hard to believe, I personally don't believe them)
- The theory of the books DS read.
- The theory of the jacket.
- The theory of the wedding joke in Taek's birthday (DS-TK wedding).
I think it's better to be more cautious and let those who know more than us do the work. Because none of us here know what really happened.
It's ok if you don't believe in Korea's justice and laws. I don't like them either, but I don't want to judge about something I don't know.

Since it's an historical drama they can't change a lot of things... They can only change the way they show us the story.
If you want to know more about the story you can read about King Taejong/Lee Bang Won's life.

More things:
1 - I've read the writer was inspired by real baduk player also. There is an interview from his wife, she talked about how she fell in love with him for the first time while he was playing baduk. It's very similar to the scene in China. http://forums.soompi.xyz/en/topic/379872-park-bo-gum-%E2%9D%A4-girls-day-hyeri-aka-reply-1988-taek-x-deoksun/?do=findComment&comment=19482614
2 - Media showed Hyeri and Park Bo Gum as leads.
