I watch a lot of kdramas and cdramas don't deliberately copy kdramas and the way it supposedly 'are'. You're making it seem like cdramas are copying kdramas but a lot of cdramas plots are no no way similar. Also, gangnam beauty is chem labs not physics, he doesn't look anything like cha eunwoo it's pretty obvious and to 'act like cha eunwoo' is a big statement imo.
Most of the complaints you made are common tropes for a drama- I believe you're bias towards gangnam beauty even though this show is based off a novel.
the love between ye hua and bai quian is admirable . But as a mother i can see that she doesn't love her son enough…
during her mortal trial, baiqian hated herself and yehua for what had happened to her in the heavenly realm; she obviously no longer had a feeling towards anything even her son. when she gave birth she didn't even touch him and called him a-li (li as in separation) to signify an end towards her son and yehua.
after she jumped off the terrace, she came back as baiqian, no longer the mortal susu and she was in so much pain over what had happened so she asked zheyan to make her forget about it. she lived 300 years without ali - what's 3 years going to do?
may I add, the heavenly realm hated baiqian because she refused to give them yehuas' body back to them so maybe that's why
I was team Xufeng for sureee!!! He truly loved Jinmi not like that crazy fish Runyu who literally fetishized Jinmi just like his rapist father did with Jinmis' mother.

Left this on hold at episode 4 back in 2018 and started watching it again last week and I’m honestly addicted!! If you were like me and got bored by the first couple episodes, keep WATCHING! It gets so much better after episode 7/8.

well HSY hates Solo because when their team was going to reach milestones, his ex Su Cheng came to Solo and told him she couldn't look after their child anymore and wanted Solo to look after her since she was ill. Due to this, he chose to give up on team Solo in order to look after his child even though they were about to participate and become world championships. Not 100% sure about this but that's what I got out of it, they didn't really explain it well.
It was so cute and fluffy especially HSY his smile was so so cute. I honestly loved the friendship between team SOLO and the K&K members especially Demo, 97 and Grunt. I rated it a 9/10, would’ve rated it higher if it had less flashbacks.
