Probably there was someone who pointed that out, because on the next episode, the guy responds to exactly this sort of scolding, and says "Oh, I was panicked, that's why, I'm not a smart person anyway". Lazy ass excuse from the screenwriter.

Yes, but now there are plenty of Asian actors who are excellent in their crafts and thanks to the Hallyu and general trend of k-drama and c-drama their names are becoming well-known, so it's not such a risk to use them in their films every now and then (still rarely!)
But an albino actor? Do you know of any? I only know of an albino runway model.
Not to mention all that was mentioned before about the special care they would need on set. They cannot do shooting for many hours under direct sunlight (and shooting does take many hours, typically a scene is rehearsed or shot many times) or maybe even the strong artificial lights in an indoor studio could be taxing for their eyes etc. etc.

Title In My Prime Spoiler
I just finished ep.13, with the accident. I wonder,
that stupid classmate, he sees a fight and someone in danger, and instead of alerting the police (there was a police car at the school entrance too!), or really any adult nearby, he goes alert the victim's little sister who is about to enter for her exam? Exam apart, what could she do against three grown men?

It's not a question of drama logic, it's how those old-fashioned patriarchal societies worked. A son was needed to carry the family name. "Raising them all together" wouldn't change the fact that the two Cao females couldn't do that, because they would marry into other families.
In China, at the time when you were allowed only one child (from 1979 to 2015), many female foetuses were aborted (or killed after birth, or abandoned or given for adoption), so that they could try again until they got a son. The result is that today, according to official census data and demographic studies, men outnumber women by about 30 to 35 million.

Well they did do that a lot in Hollywood. At a time when Asian actresses were not that famous because Bollywood films and K-dramas were not in fashion. No studio would bet their film's success in putting an unknown for main lead, and I understand that, because they're investing millions.
Today they avoid doing it, and when it's a story involving a character of a different race, they try to get someone of that race. Because that's the general consensus now, and also Asia is very trendy.

Why on earth would a filmmaking company cast an unknown as a main lead, who has no experience in acting? Unless there is a good actress in China, with an established name in the industry, who is also an albino. Do y ou know of any?

On the other hand, this mother is a fighter and she fought for her wishy-washy husband and for her kids. Remember when she went to the department store to ask for due benefits and made a scene? When, on her daughter's first day at school, she went to the school director's office and made a scene? She protected her own like a lioness.
Of course such a character is not easygoing for her family members either.

I think it's a question of male vs female, very strong at that time, and not a question of more love etc.

Qi's family just love to blame Cao's family and Cao's dad just accept everything 😫
He started it by telling the director that his friend slept during work hours. He shouldn't have done that.

Welcome to C-drama mid-way effect, where they start to drag the show (to get more episodes) with unnecessary flashbacks,…
I don't know how old you are, but in the 80s I used to watch The Bold and the Beautiful. There was a scene with two characters, a dialogue. After the scene was over, one of the characters called someone (her best friend or something, I don't remember), and she recounted everything that had happened, describing the scene we had just watched in great detail. "And then I told him X Y Z..." "Oh, really? And what did he reply to that?" "He said ....".
And we heard again the same dialogue we had already heard and watched five minutes before, only narrated. It was infuriating, like taking the audience for stupid. It wasn't even in a previous episode (there would be the excuse of reminding people who hadn't watched it). No, both scenes in the same episode, back to back.

Why would you ship two males if it's not a BL? At least I saw no such tag. It clearly says "bromance".
I just asked "Why would you do that", because it seemed weird to me, when there are so many normal BLs where it would be more natural to do that. But I never said you are not allowed to, LOL!

Well, not every music performer has to also become a composer. Some do, but very many do not, and they have perfectly good career just playing other composers' works.

I don't understand the obsession with emotion and "pure talent" by the characters. I would think that…
Both are equally needed. Technique is a must, a prerequisite, but without a soul it becomes so boring, like the mechanical nightingale of the king of China. Asians have long been acccused of playing like well-tuned machines, but in the last ten years this has changed, and we have gotten beautiful soulful interpretations by opera singers and musicians.
