I didn't like Xu Yan in the beginning, but now that I see her birth parents, I can understand why she is two-faced.…
XY's tendency to lie is off-putting. It’s practically her second language. She’s been fluent since childhood, when make-believe and fibs were her only armor against bullies and to cope with her toxic parents and unfortunate circumstances. The tragedy is that what once kept her afloat has now become the very habit weighing her down. Like her grandmother said and accepted, XY has bad habits and makes mistakes. Curious on how hard she'll fall and how she'll learn and make amends. Morally gray FL and ML are interesting and captivating.
Honestly, I’m craving the moment he actually fights for her—like, the full-on drama, sweat, tears, longing, passion, and all. Right now, SHM is playing it a little too cool. Their first meeting was a spark. The floor kissing showed heat. But I feel that we haven't seen the fire yet. So far, we’ve been living entirely in XY’s head, seeing every thought, every emotion, every overthinking moment. But I have a hunch the real fireworks—SHM’s raw, unfiltered thoughts and feelings—are going to hit after the breakup.
Yes that whole sequence was beautiful, Even the way they gazed at each other !
I couldn’t help but giggle at that scene. She’s giving him the full-on stare, he catches it, and suddenly she’s all shy, pretending the window is the most fascinating thing in the world. Sure girl, you're not totally eying the hottie with the glasses. 😂
lol love it!💗universal law for swoon factor: being a top priority to a ridiculously handsome, charming man. Love’s Ambition is teasing us the physics of attraction.
OMG!!! Who is this family? I cannot stand the SHM's mother. For the love. I wish, I wish, she would have told…
Seems like only the grandmother is golden. I would have grabbed the food, along with a bottle of wine, gone home and celebrated escaping such a nightmare of a mother-in-law.
She's bottling it all up inside... I'm bracing for the explosion.
I feel the same. I think both characters are written to feel very human, with messy red flags. SHM’s family…
Hope the fracture will hit like a wrecking ball. I love a breakup that hurts—the messier the fracture, the sweeter the reunion. That’s peak drama magic for me.
im going to wait till this finish to decide if its worth watching because apparently in the novel, ML had a kid…
Well.. Episode 3 already disputes your theory... it shows XY hanging out with the kid, SHM, and his parents... so the kid isn't some hidden love child.
guys i got confused in ep 2, help. in ep 1, the family aready meet and they seems to already live in tgt. then,…
The early episodes were a bit of a maze—those transitions between present day and flashbacks felt messy at first, especially the jump from the hospital straight to meeting SHM’s charmingly terrifying mom. By episode 3 though, the storytelling starts to smooth out. I think that confusing time skip was intentional: it hints that her feelings for him grew because of his care and support, but keeps the how of their romance shrouded in mystery. Almost like the drama wants us to piece together their love story alongside them—uncovering those ‘special moments’ as they remember them later. It’s frustrating at first, but if that is the purpose and it's executed well, it will be kind of brilliant in a way to build anticipation.
Episode 4... oh my goodness. I don’t think anyone can stay dry-eyed when Lusi cries—she feels it so hard that even her voice shifts and cracks with the weight of the moment. That kind of raw, layered performance is rare. Memorable actors can embody a role so deeply that every type of emotion feels like it’s tearing straight from the actor's chest. Every emotion reaches you through the screen. And she's getting better conveying emotions through her eyes as well.
XY’s parents? Unredeemable. And the sister? Fully living in delulu land. 🙄 Girl, helping your younger sis against bullies doesn’t erase years of neglect and indifference.

I think SHM has full confidence that XY can weather whatever challenge his mother throws her way. He’s still a puzzle—his past and motivations aren’t laid bare—but one thing is clear: he’s drawn to XY. And it’s not surface-level attraction. It’s her grit, her resilience, that first caught his eye. Honestly, Agave feels like the perfect symbol for XY—tough, enduring, but strikingly beautiful in her own right.
I'm not sure if he is fully in love with her yet. He desires her, cares about her, and he's protective of her. It shows when he helped her out in episode 2, and the way he cooks for her. Or are these all tactics to capture her devotion?
And XY? She clearly wants SHM. Maybe she even loves him more deeply than she realizes—why else jump through so many hoops just to keep him and marry him? For money? Nah, there are lots of rich men out there that are gullible and less dangerous than SHM.
I like the fact that both ML and FL are red flags for a change. Him spying on her is wrong but her lying about…
I feel the same. I think both characters are written to feel very human, with messy red flags. SHM’s family piles on impossible expectations and comes off pretty controlling, while XY’s been left to deal with the scars of abandonment. Different struggles, but both are carrying heavy family baggage they’ll need to confront if they want to grow. The attraction and the reflections on how their romance started is fantastic and I'm interested in their self-discovery and journey as individuals and as a couple. Someone here mentioned it's not idol drama, definitely agree on that. Mostly geared towards a mature audience.
