looks like the trolls have joined the party..I'll never understand the concept of watching and stalking a drama…
The only reason trolls crawl out is either they’re on someone’s payroll, their calendar is emptier than their arguments, or they’re just powered entirely by hate, jealousy, and spite. Either way, same old noise, zero value.
spoilers ahead: I just finished the first 4 episodes, and all I have to say is that zhao lusi's performance is…
Only 1st episode in and wow—Lusi just keeps leveling up! She’s more mature and subtle here, but every expression and body language feels so real and full of emotion. First time seeing William Chan too and he’s a nice surprise. Starts off with that boy-next-door vibe, then when he drops the ‘I have an informant on your side’ line and I literally leaned back like 😳 lol. The banter between ML and FL when she first tried to get him to accept the interview was fun to watch. It's obvious both of them have similar personalities and intelligence that sparked the attraction between them early on. Also, Xu Yan’s outfits? Absolutely to die for.
Does anyone know how contracts work? Does Galaxy Cool Entertainment have the power to stop Love Ambition from…
Whether a drama, that has completed filming, airs is the decision of the production company, broadcasting platform, and government regulations. Because the Agency signed a contract with the production company etc. However, the Agency, depending on how broad her contract is, can "indirectly" interfere with the drama's promotion by preventing her from promoting it because the Agency probably holds contractual rights to her appearance, performance, her voice, her face, etc. . This is why all types of contracts should be read in detail, understood, and a lawyer representing her should've been involved so that the her rights, her dignity, her present and future was protected.
If Lusi can prove abuse, coercion, or severe negligence, she may be able to terminate her contract through the courts. But it will be a hard, expensive, and long battle. If there are witnesses to these abuse, hopefully their conscience are eating away at them and they step up towards becoming decent human beings.
ZhaoLusi was supposed to have live stream with FILA today but Her Agency KU made it impossible to push through…
I doubt the big brands lurk on these boards, but posts like this matter—awareness is power when people stand together. Facts are our sharpest weapon; truth cuts deeper than spin. No brand chasing profit wants to be exposed worldwide as a Goliath crushing innocent people. So what can we do? Share the truth, spread the word, and hit them where it hurts—their profits. Negative publicity in the international stage. Boycott those brands who put greed above humanity, whether it’s Lusi or anyone else they try to exploit. So, spread the word.
Hopefully, Lusi's peers, friends, and every good person will start banding together and boycott KU. Also Lusi, needs to make certain she hires the best people who will help her manage her projects because a manager that is fooled into signing these exploitive contracts and doesn't protect her and her career should be fired, sued, and banned from the industry.
This Review captivated me! Thanks, I was on the fence… now I’m moving it to the top of my list!
Hope you enjoy. I still find myself moved every time I revisit my favorite scenes. It lingers — not just in memory, but in the way it profoundly stirs something deeper. I hope it resonates with you in some way too.
I guess they will not shoot a time, Lusi is "sick" but accepting performences and variety shows. That's sad, in…
You say you "only" feel sorry for the other actors, but not for someone who was so ill she couldn’t speak or walk and ended up hospitalized? That’s a troubling perspective. A truly considerate person would have empathy for everyone affected—including the one clearly suffering the most.
You’re also assuming all work are equal. What if, currently, she’s only physically and mentally able to fulfill commitments that align with her recovery—things that might be manageable and not harmful to her physical or mental health. And here’s a food for thought: you're not privy to her medical details, her treatment plan, or what her doctors advise. Making assumptions without that context isn't insight—it’s judgment. And when someone is facing serious health challenges, especially ones that aren't always visible or linear, the last thing they need is more criticism based on incomplete information. Compassion means giving people space to heal in the way that’s right for them, not the way we think it should look.
If the other actors, who are healthy and able to continue their work, can show grace, respect, and compassion toward Lusi in her vulnerable moment, that’s not favoritism or bs—that’s humanity and patience. Misfortune can strike any of us, and choosing empathy over judgment says far more about one’s character than taking sides ever will.
Lol… what to do… commoners like us against a staff here🤣 we are powerless….. even skye the leader of…
That editor can't help but be obsessed with Lusi. Lusi is just mesmerizing. I caught that Flow music festival clip and what could have been a skirt/dress mishap, Lusi flipped it into an iconic move. Then of course, how she handled the chaos of the previous festival with the tech issues - still smiling, still kind, making fans feel seen and heard. Her kindness is not fake or media training, it's just her core character. It’s no wonder people—brands, media, fans, the internet in general—are drawn to her like she's gravity. Her smile, that bashfulness and humility, and her grace in the face of adversity is inspiring. Hate just doesn’t stand a chance when someone’s glowing that brightly from the inside out.
Lol… what to do… commoners like us against a staff here🤣 we are powerless….. even skye the leader of…
There’s something quietly powerful about Lusi. Her talent speaks for itself, but it’s her sincerity—her goodness—that really disarms people. A kind of light you can’t fake. And when the hate comes, as it always does, it only makes her shine brighter. The more they try to pull her down, the more people see her rising, like some gentle force they can’t shake. Haters try to dim her and end up spotlighting her instead. She becomes the underdog not by weakness, but because she endures with grace. And people don’t root for perfection, they root for someone who keeps standing, not by shouting back, but by simply being better. They root for the one who gets knocked down but still gets up and stands tall, the one who stays kind when it’s easier to hate. And that is Lusi’s power. The kind that we all can’t help but see and realize… she’s someone worth rooting for.
Both dramas deliver compelling stories of personal growth and romance, backed by strong production quality and…
The ending of The Story of Pearl Girl is deliberately open-ended—its power lying not in what it shows, but in what it chooses to leave unsaid. The male lead’s fate, though heavily foreshadowed, is never explicitly revealed on screen. We know he has long been living with a slow-acting poison, a quiet tragedy that has silently shaped their relationship from the beginning and throughout. But rather than confirming how he dies, the drama withholds resolution, placing that emotional weight squarely in the hands of the audience.
This isn’t a case of incomplete storytelling or vague writing—it’s a purposeful and poignant narrative choice. The ambiguity invites viewers to confront the story’s core question: Can love endure even in the face of the inevitable? Instead of offering a definitive farewell or final breath, the drama chooses intimacy and reflection. It opens a space where love isn't measured in time, but in presence, intention, and memory.
The final scenes are anchored by the female lead’s voiceover. She speaks not of endings, but of continuation—of honoring their shared dream to see the world, of regrets she carries, but never for them. Her words are a love letter to everything they endured together. The silence surrounding his fate becomes a poetic echo of the fragility of hope, of the sacrifices made out of love. Did he stay by her side until the very end, fulfilling her wish to live quietly and fully? Or did he disappear, choosing to protect her from the pain of watching him fade? Or perhaps, in their final days, they traveled side by side, chasing a sliver of peace while time still allowed it.
This lack of closure is not a flaw—it’s a mirror. It reflects the drama’s larger message: that the most meaningful stories don’t end in neat resolutions, but in emotional truths. That love becomes more sacred when it's fleeting. That the real tragedy isn’t death, but a life unlived. The Story of Pearl Girl asks us to sit with uncertainty, to wrestle with grief and beauty all at once, and to draw our own conclusions about what it means to love deeply and let go gently.
The entire journey transcends romance. It is about surviving life’s quiet devastations, choosing love even when it's difficult, and realizing that happiness isn’t about how long we have—but how completely we embrace the time we’re given. The drama doesn’t hand you answers; it gives you meaning. It doesn't tie a bow on the end—it opens a door to feeling.
And yes, it is beautifully acted. The emotional realism is so raw and tender, you’ll likely cry your eyes out—not because the story demands your tears, but because it earns them.
Difference is ML entered her life first, she didn't.Shaoshang isn't perfect we all know that, Shaoshang herself…
Also taking into account fl's upbringing and how she had to rely only on herself to survive, so imo, she is realistically stubborn and independent. Also, she suspected ml's secret and gave ml numerous chances to confess and be honest with her the same way he has been asking her to be honest and open with him. If she had forgiven him quickly, it would have been very out of character along with the lack of growth and understanding on the ml's part. fl and ml are both very flawed, sometimes unreasonable, and realistically human.
I am not chinese and I would like to know something. What is this April fools day team building?? What is its…
Seems like it's all about some lighthearted team bonding with an April Fools twist—pranks, games, the usual fun stuff. As far as I know, April Fools is more of a Western thing, so I’m not sure if it holds much cultural weight in China beyond the whole ‘let’s make the workplace more fun’ corporate trend.
Wow. The sheer amount of hate here is both exhausting and depressingly predictable. Are we uncovering a crime…
Revenge and justice is not the same. It will be unfortunate if the family's allegations are true because the world doesn't really need more evil people and it's already tragic since it caused a life. And if it's not true and this is a grieving family grasping at straws and this ruins an innocent person's life, that will also be unfortunate. I hope the truth comes out and justice prevails.

To everyone going bonkers over the age gap—or pretending to while sneakily checking out this drama—I see you... Mr. Diabolical. Look, if it’s not your cup of tea, that’s cool. But don’t write it off just yet, because you might just trip and fall straight into the undeniable chemistry and gripping story.
Realistically, big age gaps (10–20+ years) are hardly some fantasy trope. They’re actually pretty common in high-status relationships. You know, the rich and famous don’t just collect sports cars; they also tend to date younger partners.
📌 Among high-net-worth individuals (millionaires & billionaires), around 25%–30% have a 10+ year age gap. 📌 In Hollywood & entertainment? That number jumps to 35%–40% for long-term couples.
Examples of Large Age-Gap Celebrity Couples: George Clooney (17 years older than Amal Clooney) Michael Douglas & Catherine Zeta-Jones (25 years apart) Jeff Goldblum & Emilie Livingston (30 years apart) Priyanka Chopra & Nick Jonas (10 years apart – female older)
So, if you’re craving something mature, engaging, and (dare I say) realistic, give this drama a shot. Who knows? You might just unlock your inner age-gap romance enthusiast. 😏
