Had a hard time watching at first because the main girl was a bit too naive or careless and the main guy was a bit too awkward/robotic, but I still watched it for its light-heartedness and I'm glad I did! I would say after ep6/7, it became a lot stronger and the two leads became more enjoyable.
Yalls throw around the word queerbaited but it doesn't actually apply to this show. Just because you're disappointed with the show doesn't mean you were queerbaited. The show is literally about the romantic relationship of Tine and Sarawat & just because they didn't give you "enough" skinship and kisses (as if that's the only factor to decide romance lmao) doesn't mean you were queerbaited. How about you actually go watch a TV show where two people are literally never ever explicitly mentioned in the show as boyfriends, never ever seen as doing anything close to physical touching (like kisses, holding hands) but have a profound bond for years? THEN you'll actually know what queerbaiting is because those shows exist. 2gether is not one of them.
That ending was helpful as I was a bit torn about Su Fu dying in a blast...so I'm glad he's alive, but wow, if we ever get a season 2, we'll probably have to wait a couple years to get anything...So I'm glad we have a fairly happy ending.
I've never read the book (which seems like a blessing as I hear this show is quite different from the novel), so from someone who only watched the show, it is pretty funny with well-done heartfelt moments. (I was especially sucked in after episode 3.) The first episode is a little slow, but it quickly picks up after that and the actors really carry this show. ONE THING I hope viewers will keep in mind is that, judging from the quality of the set & the low number of episodes, Netflix probably didn't give this show a big budget. When that happens...well, adaptations can't accommodate everything. So, knowing that, I think this show was pretty good for its first season. Here's to hoping they will get a bigger budget for a second season.
I'm on episode 3 right now and am enjoying it so much. From the trailer, I thought Huo Ting En was going to be a complete asshole type, but he's not. He's actually human and have some sense of compassion and doesn't treat her badly. He also makes hilarious expressions and is more than a pretty face. Also, I love Wei Fen Qing. She's stubborn but not overbearing. She grudgingly respects Huo Ting En even if they fight a little bit.
Second lead syndrome hit me hard in this drama. I love LOVE Toby Lee (Shen Jun Shan) so much, I pretty much watched this show for him. His character was impeccable with great looks and a stoic but caring and heroic personality. When he smiles, he's so gorgeous.
I started Miss Truth and fell really hard for Toby. (I enjoyed him and Zhou Jie Qiong together--they look so good together!) He was fantastic as Xiao Song and balances comedy and seriousness well. I immediately started watching Arsenal Military Academy and he didn't disappoint! He's super good-looking and has great charisma. I can't wait to watch him in more dramas.
I'm quite sad that this drama is rated so low (currently at a 7.9). I fell in love with this drama and adore the actors (faces I was unfamiliar with) and enjoyed the story and the characters so much. The rating should be at least an 8.5. Thanks to this show, I am now looking forward to the actors' upcoming works and can't wait to see them in more roles.
I'm really enjoying this drama. I got sucked in so much right away--it's really a show where you gotta pay attention to the story or you can get lost about all the mystery and intrigue. I came because I was interested in ran yan & xiao song's bickering dynamic (I love those kinds of couples lol) but I really stayed for the strong acting and interesting plot. Does anyone know where you can download the episodes in HD quality?
Hi, sorry for this super late reply--I don't know if you already found out for yourself, but there is no physical kiss. The unedited version, from my memory, has more lines & scenes that are indicative of a romance and deep profound bond though! I know it can be disappointing but considering China censorship on LGBTQ content, it is still pretty good.
lol okay??? since you clearly have a lot of time on your hands, you could've simply made suggestions for other Chinese dramas to check out rather than being a jerk, but sure, make some smug comment instead. :)))
On Youtube! The official company have the episodes too but it's the edited version. The YZD International Fanclub channel is the one who posted the unedited version! https://youtu.be/6BoaSYWeMOs
I wonder if people rated this show with a low score due to watching the edited version? I watched the unedited version and I enjoyed it immensely. Although I'm sure it's not anything close to the novel (which I haven't read), the unedited version of the drama gave us SO much for their love.
I didn't know he was half-Thai! I've never seen other ethnicities play big roles in Chinese dramas. He's so good-looking! So glad to have discovered him.
Came for Wang Zhuo Cheng but stayed for the main couple's bantering and bickering. I laughed out loud many times because of them. They're cute and holding this drama together. I have some more serious questions for this drama, but I'm not taking it too seriously. I'm just trying to ignore the flaws of it and enjoy the main leads and wang zhuo cheng.
He did such a great job in The Untamed that I thought he was already a veteran actor! I look forward to the day he has main roles. Can't wait to see him become more and more popular <33
