Distrust between the leads. Cat and mouse kind of relationship. Amnesia arc! And Angsty. Circle of Love is more tragic though, but has incredible acting from the leads with undeniable chemistry.
A modern girl is in a "book"/"game"/"fake world" in a historical setting and works her way to getting out. Along the way, she struggles to leave the bonds she made and her loved ones.
Female lead is a modern girl who gets sent to a TV show and becomes the Empress who dies in the third episode, so she tries to survive past the third episode! A lot of fun, hilarious, with good soundtrack and great chemistry between the leads--so good that the show even got a season 2 and an alternate season with same actors but different setting.

VR romance genre where one of the main characters know they're in a VR game. To Get Her is more silly, but it has good emotional growth like Sassy Beauty.
VR romance genre with good emotional growth and throughlines. I would say Sassy Beauty have the stronger serious plot though compared to Love & The Emperor.
The cuteness and chaotic disaster vibe that Jiu Er & Yin Ran has reminds me very much of the dynamic of Chen Qian Qian & Han Shuo!
