In short: this is not a drama special, it's the 21st episode of Dr. Romantic. You can't watch this episode without watching the original show.

Since the final episode of the pilot show has already have a good closure (with that highlighted quote), this episode will bring mixed receptions. This episode is surely a better closure for Teacher Kim, but not really for other casts. But this may connect between the 1st and 2nd season since the main casts are a bit different, I don't know since I haven't watch it.

But if you have watched the first season, you have to watch this episode because it is the part of the season.
