Bitter pill to swallow, this show is somewhat close to the situation in present, both on the celebrities and fans sides. Celebrities, influencers are all dying to draw attention as much as then can, even though they have to fake or use illegal powers to do it . They will do everything just for the sake of fan's acceptance and ensuring they don't lost any previllege they have, instantly, even though it has to cost other people's life. On the other hand, the fans are easily follow any wave that produced by the media. They hate and love, support and oppose their idol blindly, without knowing the original truth beneath. Sad truth, but that's the reality, at least for now. You object it? It's 2025, remember how much has the internet "killed" celebrities?
The production of this show itself is excellent. The scriptwriting is great, at least most part of the show. The concept of Seo A Ri narrating the story "her revenge" is totally a great idea. The visual is amazing, so glamorous. The casting are quite good, especially all the female main casts. Park Gyu Young does a quite excellent job here, Lee Chung Ah and Han Jae In as well.
Unfortunately, it does not apply the same to the whole cast. For a villain, Jeon Hyo Sung is quite disappointing. She is on fire during the earlier phase of the show when Seo A Ri is still lower than O Min Hye, but after the turntables she looks very lost. No signs of either real fear, anger, disgust or whatsoever. The male casts also aren't outstanding. I feel no chemistry at all between FL and ML. Kang Min Hyuk lacks of face expressions. Same thing applies to Park Ye Ni though. Storywise, I don't like how they wrap up the show. Why they have to use the annoying "almighty white truck" plot? Also how they track bbbfamous and who help A Ri stream's anonimity remain unclear. The revenge seems only served well for Tae Jeon, Chae Hui and Angela, others get very light compared to what they do towards A Ri. I also think A Ri's best friend, Jeong Sun, is annoying, noisy and noisy. I hate her even more than Ji Na or Yu Rang. It will be massive disadvantage if you are unable to read Korean in this show, because you'll miss out a lot of stories which are written in the news, social medias, etc.
In general, this show doesn't seem appealing at the beginning. I also don't know how I got hooked up to it but apparently I did. Watch this show if you're up for some drama.
